day of the dead is becoming my favorite.
It wasnt at first but the more times I see it the more i like it.

I've talked to a few people thet feel the same way but not many.

I think the characters are stronger and I dont mind the feeling of claustrophobia most people dont like (although the mall wasnt much bigger - just brighter and with more visual stimulus.

if you hate spongebob .. you will loath the movie .. it isnt anything more than an extended version of the cartoon ...
but thats cool with me - i wasnt expecting anything more or less..

It actually reminded me alot of John Carpenter's The Thing.....had that same claustrophobic, trust no one, feel to it....

urgeok 11-23-2004 02:07 PM

it felt more like rats stuck in a cage to me ..
as in Dawn, they were cornered, which is always the worst form of defence ... no escape. (thank god for helicopters in these films)

it certainly added to why certain characters were going over the top ..
something else that bothered me at first but i came to realize how appropriate their behavior would have been under the circumstances.
(cabin fever more or less)

the jamaican and irish guy are a lot of fun...

That they are....

"Lay off the fuckin' booze for a minute, why doncha--and get somebody on that fuckin' horn, PRONTO!"

"If we stay down here any longer, I'll have to lay off the fuckin' booze, Steele, because there won't fuckin' be any of it fuckin' LEFT!"

Or something like that...
