I think I saw the first scene you described. It wasn't a movie, it was a reenactment of an alleged bigfoot encounter on one of those unexplained mysteries shows.

wu's answer two the 2nd scene sounds promising. I'd searched on imdb for a film that may fit the scene, and The Haunted was one that came up. Trying to find it on DVD now.



as for the 1st, The Day The World Ended is either far to late (2001 on imdb) or too early (1956) to be that film. I do remember it being in colour.
Night Of The Demon (1980), does have the right sort of synopsis to be the film to contain that scene, but I think I would have remembered a scene with some bloke getting his dick ripped off lol....will check it out though.

It's not Critters, I know that for sure.
