Sam Neil is great - he was also in possession ...
But his body of work is so broad that he isnt thought of as a 'horror actor'

Jamie Lee Curtis was in a few when she started (halloweens, terror train) but that fizzled out and she became mainstream as well.

We're grasping at straws here ...
There just isnt the same climate in film to ever have adult movie stars being known mainly for horror.

Robert Eglund is Freddy .. he's also been in a number of other horrors as a character actor ... but he really cant hold a candle to Peter Cushing, Christpher Lee, Vincent Price or the others mentioned in skill or stature ..
Those names will be synonymous with horror long after all of these other people are forgotten ...

(maybe not by true horror fans - but certainly as regular household names)

You have good taste n00b!!!!!!!

Thanks! BTW, sorry, but I don't look anything like Ingrid Pitt.

still haven't gotten around to seeing that one yet, any other suggestions

'The Fog' is up for a re-make as we speak. Hollywood can't even bother to look back in their catalog past the 1970's now for horror films to re-make. Double lazy on their part.

nahhh not all of it ..
if you hunt around there are rewards.

and again i have to stress ... People are shit.
Hollywood couldnt afford to make these films if there was no profit in it.

Whenever someone takes a chance and makes a different kind of film... the studio takes it big time ...

John Q Public/the lowest common denominator/whatever you want to call them : they are the reason bad movies are made, bad music is played/bad books are written ... because
simple people with simple needs support these things.

You think Brittney Spears would be a household name if only her friends and family bought her CDs, went to her shows ?

your anger is justified, but it's aimed in the wrong direction ...
