Recently picked up the special 3 disc edition of Donnie Darko released by Arrow video.
Also picked up the Japanese horror flcik Dark Water, again from Arrow video.

I've been picking up a lot of Arrow video releases lately, they've become one of my favourite publishers.

Recently found a dvd/gaming store and I think I finally hit the jackpot on where to keep building up my dvd collection (502 and counting)!!!! The average dvd goes for $3.33.

A Christmas Horror Story

Not exactly a new acquisition as it was loaned to a friend over a year ago. Finally got it back today. Such a mind blowing movie!!!

Scored some VHS at the dirtmall over the weekend. Really cool to find both Metropolis and Rosemary's Baby in that format.

I would snatch up Rosemary's Baby if I saw it, great find! I still can't believe some of my finds. Arsenic and Old Lace, Psycho 1 and 2, Universal classics Frankenstein and Creature from Black Lagoon, to name a few. The fact people would even give them away to thrift stores still just baffles me (and Frankenstein wasn't even opened yet)! I've been aching for another trip to Goodwill lately too.

Ordered Eerie Midnight Horror Show online, Sun, and got it today. First time I saw it, I rented it from Blockbuster, when I was in secondary achool. I liked it but had trouble finding it's dvd because I couldn't remember the name of the movie. Only having the plot; era it was made and country it was made in, to go by I managed to stumble across its title and when I saw a trailer for it on YouTube I knew I had rediscovered it.

I'm sure if the first time I watched it was as an adult I wouldn't have gone through so much effort to find it. But as a kid in his 9th year I liked it a lot so it's a big nostalgic factor in my efforts to get it.

I caved and went to Goodwill again. My hunt was not as fruitful this time, but I did add 'Bride of Chucky' to my VHS collection. That was the only Chucky film I wanted so that series was easy to get. ::big grin::

I also got Psycho 3 and 4 on DVD (including the first two I have on VHS, that completes that collection if I don't count Bates Motel (1987) which i should at least check out now that I think about it). And a 4 horror movie DVD collection containing: Night Train to Terror (also have on VHS), Snowbeast, the Devil's Nightmare, and Moon of the Wolf.

I found a special edition of The Sixth Sense on VHS at a thrift store the other day. ..And a lot of Halloween things, but the movie find made me happy. It's the one movie Shyamalan did right.

Turns out I already have Moon of the Wolf on DVD, just on anther collection of movies and of COURSE that movie was the sole reason I bought the 4 horror movie collection. I need to keep better track of my hoards. 8I

I recently bought the Universal Monsters Blu-ray SteelBooks from Best Buy. Came out this week. They look amazing with art by Alex Ross.

Bought Mama and Godzilla 2000 for $2 each. Normally I watch movies first before buying them, but I was feeling adventurous.

I watched this once. I remember absolutely nothing except it was strange... I should give it another go. See if it leaves a lasting impact this time.
