Dante's Inferno - This trailer is actually for a video game very loosely based on Dante's Inferno from the Divine Comedy. It actually looks pretty cool and there is a movie based on this game already in the works.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
- Again loosely based on a children's book, though this version seems to only encourage more gluttony in America, in 3D of course!

Oh, man. I remember reading that when I was a kid.
Haha, it's interesting that they're just now making it into a movie.

This was one of my favorite books as a kid, though the movie has taken quite a few liberties with this. It's a shame since the book really has a different and more positive message.

Leave it to Hollywood to destroy our childhood memories.

Theres been mention of a few kids books being made into movies, and said books clearly mean alot to some people here.

When, dare I ask, is there going to be 'The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar' movie? Or maybe 'Plop: The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark'?

fortunato 04-03-2009 07:19 PM

Halloween 2 - this looks like it could be much better than first, which was kind of a mixed bag.

Is this going to be the sequel of the RZ's remake or remake of the original sequel? Anyway, it looks good indeed.

It's a sequel to the R. Zombie remake, so he's not really following a previous storyline other than "Michael's back". I think some of his problems in the first one was that he was limited to the Halloween storyline, which he tried to expand on and just became a mish-mash.

So, I have high hopes for this one and Sheri Moon Zombie is back. :D

We shall wait and see, with fingers crossed.

Im hoping, like you Pap, that if he has a bit more freedom on the storyline then maybe it will benefit from that.

G.I. Joe - full trailer: this looks amazing!

Very interesting. Looks pretty promising and having a lot of potential, too.

Abominus 05-13-2009 11:22 AM

So you take Enders Game and molest the concept. You add Ludacris to the cast. This is madness.

Sorry, does anyone else notice the Orson Scott Cardness of the story?

I thought it looked too much like the recent, crappy Death Race remake.

_____V_____ 05-14-2009 11:07 AM

I thought Death Race was very decent, pretty entertaining stuff.

Remember it was a remake of one of Corman's most cheesiest efforts, and it managed to pull that off pretty nicely.

And this one looks to be similar. A fun-filled, mindless entertainment ride from start to finish.

I agree....I thought DR was pretty good though I wouldn't call it a remake at all.

This Gamer looks good as well

The_Return 05-14-2009 12:51 PM

From the trailer it looks decent, but pretty run-of-the-mill. I'll probably check it our for Micheal C. Hall though.

As an ardent fan of Conan Doyale's Sherlock Holmes I hope this will work out. Ritchie dared and gave him a totally different look and needless to say that R. Downey Jr. is a great actor and I'm too now eagerly waiting to see him with Jude Law as Dr. Watson in their new adventure.

So far, Jeremy Brett was the most perfect actors for this legendary role on screen. I always like to visualize him as Mr. Holmes still whenever I read the stories.

_____V_____ 05-22-2009 11:15 AM

The Surrogates ...with Bruce Willis and Radha Mitchell, based on the sci-fi graphic novel...could turn out to be a really decent watch (but its no Blade Runner)

There you go. Look at it.

Papillon Noir 05-27-2009 12:46 PM

The Descent 2 - looks like they skimped on some production value here, still probably see it though
