Spent most of yesterday watching seasons 1 and 2 of American Horror Story

How was the show the second time around? Which season is your favorite? Season 2 just slightly edged out Season 1 for me, but mostly because I'm a sucker for asylum stuff. ::cool::


Watched the mid-season finale of Mad Men last night... MAN that's a ridiculously good show. It's sad; I'm going to be legitimately upset when the show is over.

I think it's still great. Season 2 is still my favorite. Just because it's so much darker and creepier than season 1 was. Season 3 doesn't even compare. I wish Falchuk hadn't made the decision to make it less dark. That's what I like about it.

I have Mad Men in my Netflix streaming queue. Never got around to watching it before. Have to see what all the hype is about.

I agree - I can't say that Season 3 was bad or anything, but it was more disorganized than the previous seasons and the moments of darkness were few and far between... Plus - Maybe it was an issue of the cast being too large - But I just didn't connect to the characters like I did with the previous seasons.

Mad Men is so fantastic - I didn't think I'd like it either because I thought, "Nah, I don't do dramas unless they're fantasy/scifi/horror-related" but it's really fantastic. Blows me away how good that damn show is. I've actually been able to rewatch seasons (currently rewatching Season 6 now!) - Let me know what you think. It's super-addictive.

I have Breaking Bad in the queue, I've watched a couple of episodes so far. I think I need to sit through more than one at a time. I've always liked Bryan Cranston.

I'm glad Warehouse 13 is streaming, I love that show and am so bummed that it was cancelled!

It actually took me a whole season to get into Breaking Bad... Typically I'll give up if I can't get into it in the first couple of episodes, but it was worth the effort.

I only watched the first couple of episodes of Warehouse 13 and couldn't get into it (I wanted something more serious like an X-Files I think)... I should give it a try (I loved Eureka).

You should definitely give Warehouse 13 another try!

American Horror Story - continuing season 2

Just watched the final episode of Farscape which I never saw when it was originally aired. From the evidence of it they knew the show was going to be cancelled so went out with one hell of a bang. I thought the final season besides the last few episodes wasn't on par with the others which were amazing. I loved Scorpius (nicknamed Nosferatu lol) and Stark the most out of the characters.

So am i, im rewatching it, got my brother watching it for the first time and he loves it too.

Found Season One of LOST at the library and wife and I really liked it. Started with the first disc of Season Two and not really rocking my socks so far, but will , as Gladys Night and The Pips said, keep on keeping on.

The X-Files. Does it count if I watch the show constantly?

Just caught the first few episodes of Ch:os:en starring Milo Ventimiglia on FEARnet On Demand and thought it was pretty interesting. He plays a lawyer who receives a mysterious box left on his doorstep. Inside are a gun, a photo of a stranger played by Diedrich Bader and instructions that tell him he has to “expire” this person in three days. He learns that he is now part of a secret game where people are chosen to kill and be killed. It's a pretty fast paced, the concept is interesting, the show has great production value and casts notable actors for a web series. Has anyone else watched this or even heard of this show?

Bingeing my way through Orange is the New Black.

Originally gave up on it about halfway through the first season, but everyone I know has been going on about how crazy the ending was and how pumped they are for the new season - figured I should give it another go.

Totally hooked. Finished season 1 a couple days ago...and watched most of season 2 yesterday. Great shit.

Love that show. Only watched the first episode of season 2 so far. Excited to watch more though

Yes, of course and an excellent show it is. I am a huge X-Files fan; it is one of my favorite television shows.

I always let the show end before I watch now because it has really built up to a great show. All the characters are well written. But the seasons are short. I guess this is one of those mid season shows or something. But anyway, I only have the season finale and the show is as usual building to something good.

A show called "Call the Midwife".
I caught a bit of an episode, had never heard of it before but I was quite intrigued by the quality.
It's a 1950's era piece about midwives, back when they had a much larger and more varied role.
Very well written in my opinion, top notch acting all around, quite heartfelt.
Having just had our first child, it really makes one appreciate the age we live in.
I'd recommend it, it's really one of the best shows I've seen in some time.

...and the main actress in it, might just be one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.

Check it out.

I keep hearing good things about this show. I should add it to the Netflix queue.
