Ahh. Let's see. The last classic that I saw was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I believe it was released in either '42 or '44. I thought the special effects were way ahead of their time.

Gorilla at Large (1954)

Great fun! Highly entertaining.

gordytheghoul 06-05-2007 09:57 AM

The Lost Patrol, not exactly a horror film, but it dose star Boris Karloff, right after Frankenstein, and it is a rather dark (in tone) kinda movie. Oh, ya, and it was great.

Classic Horror Movies

Oh Hi!

I love to watch classic horror movies.

The ones that I have most recently watched were:

Night Of The Demon
The Wolf Man
The House Of Dracula
The Brute Man
The Mad Ghoul
The House Of Wax
The Devil Commands
Countess Dracula

The Crazies

One of Romero's first films. Awesome...the sound sucks, the music sucks but that is what makes it so enjoyable. I am sure a lot of people could agree with me on that.

The idea was a good one and Romero edits it the same way he did with Dawn, all confusing and multitudes of people talking at once. You also got to love the sideburns people sport in the film.

The movie is being remade, but to my understanding, Romero is rewritten it for the remake. And since the oringial was ok to begin with, I am hoping that there would not be a way to screw this up.

"The Thing from another world"

Still sends a shiver down my spine. Love Carpenters remake too.
