I'm workin' on the first seasons of Deadwood and 24. I never can keep up with those shows, which is why I thank the Lord for box set dvd's.

Alive (Kitamura's not the plane crash one) and Never Die Alone.
I went into Never Die Alone expecting a crappy movie and got a little better than I thought I would. Some decent gore with some brain splatter, decent shotgun work, and a nice shank to the eye. Anyway, I kind of liked the movie, surprised really.

Marroe 01-29-2006 11:41 PM

"Me, You, and Everyone We Know"...it was ok. Not much of a story, just a really odd film.

"Boondock Saints"...They need to make a sequel already.

Elvis_Christ 01-30-2006 02:34 AM

Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby..... not as shit as the Exorcist II but pretty fuckin' close a few cool moments tho. But fuck I got my $2 worth.

Phenomena - I think I prefer the Creepers cut of this film cause it was a lot more fast paced. Not really into Argento as much as I used to be.... must be all the Fulci flicks I've been watching latley :p

Elvis_Christ 01-30-2006 02:39 AM

Oh yeh and I forgot about Crimewave. I really hated this flick when I saw it 12 or so years ago on TV. I picked up the original VHS awhile back for $2 and gave it a day in court and thought it was fuckin' amazing.... really funny comic book style caper. Definatley a dark horse.

"Well I'm a heel who hates people who hate heels" :D

"Sisters" by Brian DePalma. Was good but the ending was confusing and ruined it.

i like it too because of Wassen mostly - but at the time it came out i was getting a bit fed up with De Palmas Hitchcock 'homages'
which i thought were more like direct rip-offs.

i've since come to like it on it's own terms ..

Watched Dead & Breakfast, loved it. I am watching Pumpkinhead tonight, along with either one of the following: Audition, Tale of Two Sisters, Battle Royale, or Suicide Club.

Evil Dead 2

After beating Evil Dead: Regeneration, I figured the guy that helped me beat it aughta watch the movie. Considering Id just watch ED1 a couple days ago, and considering ED2 is much more like the game, we watched this. Still an awesome movie, of course.

Yeh that's been debated for years. I like the De Palma style of Hitchcock cause its got a real 80s exploitation trash thing going on. I really like his film Raising Cain too. But suspense films will always have a dash of Hitch just like gangster films will have a pinch of Scorcese.

The Brothers Grimm ~ It was okay; definitely had its moments, but some it I just found irritating, for lack of a better word.

Million Dollar Baby ~ Good film, excellent acting. But DEPRESSING.....it pretty much ripped my heart out and stomped on it for about an hour of the film.

Yeh I thought that too :(

The_Return 01-30-2006 08:24 PM

Brothers Grimm

Meh. It was tolerable, but not great. The plot was below average, it was like they took the worst bits from Van Helsing and Sleepy Hollow then added some wasted Fairy tale references. My main problem was that it drug on forever, easily could have been half an hour shorter. Oh, and I cant see why everyone was praising the visuals, that was some horrible CGI! The wolf eating the girl especially, how awful was that?

RavageRitual 01-30-2006 08:32 PM

Gozu

After viewing this film and as the credits rolled, all that went through my head is "what the hell did I just watch" This movie I thought was a little slow in the middle But was entertaining regardless. Had a few scenes that made me cringe. Which never happens, so I was really happy about that. Overall I thought this was a great film with a good storyline, good acting, very creative, good acting. Awesome Movie.

4/5

Yup!

But what really bugged me was the ghost. I didnīt see a single sign of effort in making her look remotely scary at any time of the movie.

Dead Alive

Despare 01-31-2006 08:34 AM

Scanners
Cronenberg is the man but Lack's acting is as wooding as the Ark. Still a great movie though and the exploding head is great and I liked the effect where the veins would grow and grow and then start spurting blood. Fun movie.

The_Return 01-31-2006 08:39 AM

Transporter 2

Very good for what it was. And it was a very good action movie. Actors werent great, plot left some pretty big holes, but the action was fast paced and exciting. I really enjoyed it, though not as good as the first.

7.5/10

I thought it was even better than the first.
But this film really has no grey area-you either love it or hate it.

Bride of Chucky - Didn't think much of the series until Bride and Seed. Amazingly comical. Love them.
