christ how do you people get the money to buy so many dvds at once?!

BookZombie 04-22-2011 08:07 AM

I do not own a car as I do not need one, I live 10 minutes from the bus station, I do not smoke or drink and I do not like to go to bars, I do not have children so what spare money I have I can use for fun.

hueyisme 04-22-2011 09:51 AM

I buy used ones, they are anywhere from 50 cents to 3 dollars. Some of the most recent legal movies are as much as 7 dollars and here you can get movies that are still in the theatres for 2 dollars. Those ones are not exactly legal but oh well, its not a perfect world.

BookZombie 04-22-2011 10:20 AM

I buy allot of second hand movies to, and new ones from cheap ebay sellers. I would not have been able to afford this many movies had I gone and bought all of them in the regular retail stores, I however only buy the not exactly legal ones when they are not available in DVD format in any other way.

slysje 04-22-2011 10:25 AM

second hand is a great idea!

wouldnt give up smoking and drinking so I can buy more dvds tho, gives me too much pleasure:cool:

BookZombie 04-22-2011 10:34 AM

I have never smoked and I do not like the taste of alcohol so I have never done more than taste my hubby's drink so there is not much to give up for me. :)

BookZombie 04-23-2011 07:47 AM

Me and my hubby got Tron Legacy on DVD today, I have been looking forward to seeing this movie as I missed it when it was at the cinema.

Yes it is.

Elvis_Christ 05-23-2011 04:34 PM

I still haven't checked out Avatar. Been on a bit of a slick hollywood flick buzz lately so now might be the time to give it a day in court.

@MissMacabre - now you just need to dig out a VHS player to match ;) How much were those things, anyway?

Picked up Child's Play and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms from HMV the other day. Think I might watch the latter back to back with THEM!

Elvis_Christ 05-25-2011 03:36 PM

That Friday The 13th Part V cover is pretty cool. I've got a different one to that.

I need to get a new player. I've had two die on me so far this year :(

Holy cow, you definitely do. By far the best show I've seen on television in years and years. It's one for the books.

I agree completely! Watched the first three seasons in a week when I got my wisdom teeth out, and hated myself later for not taking my time with them. Season four is gonna be crazy.

Ahhh I know. I can't wait. Bryan Cranston was saying how season 4 picks up right where season 3 left off.
