I'm pretty much done with Haven. That had to be the dumbest season finale I've seen in a long time. I saw that ending coming from a mile away.

And I'm sick and tired of Audrey constantly changing "personalities". Plus, I didn't like the character of William - to me they had zero chemistry onscreen. She had more chemistry with Duke and Nathan.

Got caught up on the back to back Grimm episodes from last Friday. I'm just wondering where all this Royal stuff is going.

My kid and i have been catching up on Dr Who ..

I've got the first 4 new seasons but we stopped watching season 1 many years ago because it was scaring him ..

he's 13 now and obviously has no problem with it so we're currently half way through season 3

I've got kind of a love-hate relationship with the new Dr Who for reasons i cant quite put my finger on - but i'm determined to get through them

Watched a little of Once Upon a Time while I ate lunch.

Catching up on RIPPER ST - its entertaining but nothing amazing.
Gave up on Almost Human - it had promise but soon became formulated pap.

I couldnt stand Almost Human .. barely made it through the first season ..

There hasn't been a full first season yet. Unless there has in Canada.

Anyway, I finally got to watch Almost Human last night so I'm back caught up on everything.

I started out watching Ripper Street but kinda forgot about it... I should catch up too.

I've got a couple of Almost Human episodes to catch up on not quite ready to ditch it yet but I definitely hear what you're saying.

You didnt like Being Human? I loved that show. It does get a lot better after the first season though.

Almost Human is a new show about a Cop (The guy who plays Dr. McCoy in the new Star Trek movies) and his Robot partner who was developed with the idea of having a "Synthetic Soul".

He was also Eomer in The Lord of the Rings

not unusual though - I haven't watched TV since the 80's - my only exposure is what I pick up via DVD box sets.

I cant remember that actors name either - tip of my tongue..

he was also in Chronicles of Riddick and Doom..

These shows are really about 60% horror...

Been meaning to watch the new school Dr Who... loved the original as a kid.

Caught the last Family Guy episode bit of a turn around after a ballsy move. Nice to see they listen to their fans I guess.

i like it - and i dont like it ...

i realize it's a weekly UK series - so the budget will reflect that - but there are a lot of things i dont like about it - which i'm sure are beloved trademarks by the fans.

I hate all the scenes in industrial settings - with green lighting .. and all the plastic wrap and flaps everywhere ...like people are walking through car washes all the time..

it's sophisticated in one way and cheesy in another.

The writing is getting interesting though -a lot of thought given to the psychological implications of being a lonely time lord, and the effect the adventures have on a companion ..

Will give it a day in court once I've waded thru the backlog of shows I've got. There's just not enough hours in the day!

Been watching a bunch of House episodes from the first season as well as some Doctor Who sixth season

Recently got hooked on a show called Gogglebox, which I understand will soon be adapted for several international audiences. On paper it sounds like real scraping of the barrel reality TV stuff but in practice it's one of the funniest things I've seen on television for a long time. Often find myself laughing out loud despite being on my own.

They have roughly a dozen groups who presumably auditioned beforehand. Basically the show is just footage of them watching and commenting on the TV of that week. I know, I know, stick with it. Because they get so much footage but edit it down to a 45 minute show, you just get a collection of some genuinely great remarks by real people - and you really do feel the domestic aspect of it. Think about it - when you're home with your family watching tv, someone must come out with a witty remark.

The highlight is this posh couple who's crude sexual remarks counter their upper class mannerisms spectacularly. Sorry for the shit quality.



Anyway, keep posted for your own national versions of this. Can't promise it'll work (besides The Office...what has?) but give it a go.
