p.s i've never started insulting anyone. and no this person wasn't going to start insulting anyone. and thridly i'm not complaining i'm have four older brothers who are all atheist. so religious insults don't really bother me. like water off a ducks back u might say.all i've done is generlize about atheist. but iguess only certain number of people are allowed to generlize here.

Just face the facts - you dogmatic individuals. There is no meaning or order to life! It is all chaos. You make it up as you go along.

No higher purpose, no master plan, no grand creator watching out for you. You are on your own.

We are alone in the universe. Our destiny is up to US - and each individual human being.

And one day we will OWN the mythical God with our technology. One day we will be the ones creating and designing the universe. Muhahahaha!

Anyone know a religious debating team ya'll could direct this bunch to???

when people kill themselves, they go to hell...but what if they were bipolar? or in a hospital, when someone has to make a choice whether to pull the plug on a loved one, decided to do it, would that be murder and would they go to hell?

There are so many "what ifs?" involved with religion of any kind, I have chosen not to partake in it.

Yeah. It's called 'free will'. In no way does that conflict with the ideas of Christianity. Except for that part about being alone in the universe, that's just an assumption you made.

If someone is mentally ill enough to kill themself, I do not think they would go to Hell. (In fact, I'm pretty sure the Catholic church said about a decade ago that they would not, reason being they are not of sound mind.) Fact is, nobody that kills themself is 100% sane at the time they do it.

The euthenasia question is a bit more touchy... I believe the Catholic church's stance to be that is that if the machines are the only things keeping the person alive anymore, then it is not a sin to pull the plug , because in reality, that person's time was up, but we are prolonging it through medical science... If they unplug the machines and the person continues breathing and living on their own, then any further steps to kill this person would not be considered okay.
