Indian givers get on my nerves

my aunt just bought back a table that I bought from her. I really didn't want to sell it back.. it fit perfect in my kitchen..one of those tall breakfast nook type tables and it matched like perfectly but I'm broke and need the money badly. She gave m this god awful table...its short but the table top is huge and takes up half my kitchen and it only came with 2 chairs..and the top of it is painted like a clock?? ahhhh!

and another thing..

when you let someone borrow something and they never give it back!
biggest mistake ever.. I was in a band over two years ago and I let the guitarist borrow my black epiphone electric guitar, a distortion pedal, and all of the cords. well the band broke up and she moved to cleveland. Well I've been trying to contact her ever since but she won't email me or call me back! And it's really pissing me off. One of my good friends was her best friend so I was trying to get it back through her but she hasn't really tried. So I'm going to have to drive to clevo and hunt this bitch down and steal my shit back!

I know what that means, but I'm not sure how the term came about.
Most actual Indians (er...the asian located ones anyhow) I've known, if they give something...well, I've not had them ask for it back.

I don't like that I have a couple back problems, but I find the most difficult thing to do is sleep on my back, which I ought to.

I absolutely cannot sleep on my back either. I have to switch sides constantly throughout the night which messes up my shoulders and causes my upper back to hurt. The kind of work I do also tears up my back so I'm hoping to go to school soon and get out of it.

and as for indian giving.. idk why it's called that but it makes for a pretty funny seinfield episode.

The term "Indian giver" came from American settlers when they first came in contact with Native Americans. They didn't have exactly the same concept of ownership the Europeans did, so when they would "give" something to a settler, the settler thought it was theirs to keep, when really they were just loaning it. Later on, when the native needed to use it he would come to get it, only to find this wasn't viewed too kindly.

And now I know.
