Here's a couple pictures I found really interesting. My wife and I were walking through the park and throwing some older bread out to the geese and ducks when we saw this guy. He ate fine, seemed to be doing ok, but if you look you'll see that his top beak is ripped off. You could see his tongue reach out and grab the food he was eating, really weird, I had never seen anything like it. Just thought I'd share.

Yeh. But at least he can still eat. It's not how he is now that I feel sorry for, it's what must of happened to make it get ripped off.

Nothing was visible while I was taking the shot so I was pretty surprised by the result. I'm a raging skeptic so I'm sure it was just the combination of warm B.C. air and the remaining snow on the ground, It's not near any water.
Still lots of fun and eerily coincidental since I can make out so many features. |
