Fearless

The fight scenes were pretty good & the FX within them were really excellent, but all in all, I felt like this movie was lacking something. Maybe it was lost in the translation, but I just didn't give a damn about Jet Li's character, his family's honor or his wushu. It was okay for it's action, but that's about all I liked.

Curse of the Golden Flower
Zhang Yimou does it again. Stunning cinematography, sumptuous sets and costumes, stunning acting and kick ass fight choreography. The story is quite possibly the most "western" of Zhang Yimou's films, it's positively Shakespearian in its depth and tragedy - although with a particularly Chinese outcome.
