I watched about 15 minutes of the latter the other day before going out, and I have to say, this looks like an excellent film....very good atmosphere (referring to the train station scene) and some strange visuals. I have a feeling this is going to be pretty good.

It is a great film. Watch it without delay! :)

Dark Remains.

Don't waste your time. Had a few good creepy scenes but fell flat overall.

In theaters, it was Preminition. Not too much of a horror movie, but it was good.

And yesterday I watched Carrie (1976) at home cause my friend has Netflix, and is also a horror fan like me. :] OH and also watched The Shining (1980) and Pet Semetary (1989)

I saw The Messengers the other day. It was only $2, which is about what it was worth. It had a few scary parts, but totally missed the point of the Asian horror films that it was so clearly derived from (that the horror you get drawn into frequently has nothing to do with you, that the initial revenge that spawns the horror is long over, etc).

Chaos, by Hideo Nakata, was much better. A twisty crime thriller.

Also saw the 1981 crime movie Body Heat last night. William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Lawrence Kasdan writing and directing. If you like crime movies, this is a great one.

Ditto. Jacob's Ladder is superbly, and very darkly, atmospheric. You'll love it, Phalanx. It only gets better as it goes along...it sucks you into its perverse twists.

Whenever people talk about the most effective Vietnam movies, I always bring this up. Of course, outside of this forum, no one knows what I'm talking about.
