been watching some sci-fi series called Jerimiah - i bought the DVD boxset.

it started out ok but 1/2 way into the 1st season I'm more than a little tired of the main character being all wise and all knowing ...

still .. it makes you watch to see what develops.

again ... all things being subjective .. you probably meant to say :

"in my opinion - the movie was pure shit ...

but its cool if you like it because you obviously are seeing it in a different light than i am .."

i'm almost positive thats what you meant to say ?

actually not...like most film criticts it was a objectiv statement..but its impossible not to be subjective..if that was what you meant...

Red Eye

Blah. Wes Craven needs to get back to making R rated movies and quick! This film was predictable, bloodless (How can you get stabbed in the neck and not have any blood come out at all?), and totally lacking logic. The acting was okay, but the storyline was one that has been well worn out, but this time it's on a plane, so we're supposed to forget that.

Anyways, I thought it sank right to the bottom of the Craven barrel and is currently sitting down there right next to Cursed.

Coming from the guy that gave us some pretty hardcore (for mainstream0 stuff over the years (Last House on the Left, Hills Have Eyes, Nightmare on Elm St., People Under the Stairs to name a few.), this film (and Cursed) just seemed waaaaay too tame for my taste.

Primer-I waited very patiently till the very end of this movie for it to finally or at least slightly make some sense.......oh,well,can't always get what I want in this lifetime.

Ghosts of Mars-ack,ook,gasp*dies dramatically*

cheebacheeba 01-12-2006 07:40 AM

The Machinist.
Great morose feel, the score was very nice too...dialogue was ok, very well played, storyline was ok, if a little convoluted, and weird factor right up there. Still a little confused by the whole deal, which is frankly kind of annoying...I mean, guy hits kid, doesn't sleep right, and starts trippin' out? That's really all it was?
Eh fuck it, I was tired and stoned...overall good, I enjoyed it...but didn't leave a great impression.

urgeok 01-12-2006 07:49 AM

More of Jerimiah ..

like any TV series i'm starting to get impatient with it .. i just want the damn thing to get over with.

I think DVD boxsets of TV series potentially do an injustice regardless of the absence of advertisments ...

over exposure ... i guess some things are better in weekly 40 minute doses..

SPOILERS*********

unable to deal with what he did .. guilt causes sleeplessness.
Lack of sleep causes hallucinations.

I knew a guy who tried to travel to florida from here in a day after getting no sleep the day before.

he finally pulled over when he saw 3 giant bowling balls rolling down the highway at him ..

I guess it happens to some degree.

Haunted 01-12-2006 07:53 AM

I actually just saw Bride of Chucky. You know, Chucky and Tiff aren't necessarily good killers, they're just lucky. The mirror thing was reaching.

Hey, Urge.

Serenity.

I'd not seen, read or heard anything about the Firefly series, before watching this. It was a decent enough film, but It felt more like an over-stretched Tv episode of some sci-fi series... keeping in mind I knew nothing about the characters, locations and story.

Ok, my liife is pathetic, and I just heard of Red Eye last night from my 13 year old brother. He's also seeing Hostel. I can't go out to watch a movie in theatres until febuary 16th, because I'm gay! Ok, so on a scale of 1 to 10, how good was Red Eye?
