This should've been season 3.

Could easilly do without all the family drama.

This last season is intense. I love this show, but I'm relieved that they're ending it while it's still good.

Can we really be sure this will be the final season? Really?
I mean, Cranston has only 3 episodes left to grow some hair and do... something.

Yes, it's a good show. I'm just saying that if it wasn't for all the family dramas all that happens in season 5 could've happened in season 3 already. The great Heisenberg could have been a drug lord like Scarface by now.

Since they've said its the last season I'm pretty sure it is

CaraBloodyCara 09-13-2013 11:38 AM

I'm pretty sure it's the last season. These three episodes, if last week's episode is any indication, are going to be pretty intense.

I thought the family drama was necessary to try and bring a sense of realism but I can agree that, in some points, it just put a damper on the action and seemed a little bit like filler. I'm actually really digging this season though, I think it's a really dramatic blowout and they did a great job.

Dexter, however...seems to be leading up to the most disappointing sendoff of all time. :(

DrFrankensteinsGirl 09-13-2013 12:59 PM

I just discovered Castle about a month ago and I'm on season 5 now. I love Nathan Fillion although I would love it more if Castle ended and Firefly started up again but we all know that's never going to happen lol.

A successful american show that ends on a high note? I don't think so.

Hawaii Five-0. I'm really far behind.

Hell on Wheels. I don't really know what to say about this season yet.

Fastest episode yet.

I have a hard time believing it will all end in only 2 episodes.

Series premiere of Sleepy Hollow

I loved it! It held my interest for the entire hour. Thought the acting was good, the pacing was great. After seeing the previews for next week's episode, I'm hooked!

Face Off

I think what I like most about this show - besides seeing the incredible talent of these people - is that it's not like most competition shows. There's no bitching, back-stabbing, fighting, etc.

The Villain 09-18-2013 07:32 AM

Dexter: I can't believe how awful this show has gotten

Sleepy Hollow: This was really good. It felt like Halloween to me while I was watching it. The holiday, not the movie.

Shame innit. The latest isn't showing here yet but I'm not fussed really after the last series. It got off to such a good start then there was Jaime Murray spicing things up, and Lithgow was a excellent anti-villain, but it's been going downhill since then. Even DDK was bit lame and then all that Dexter and Debs romance nonsense.

They should have kept Doakes alive like in the novels, he was a worthy adversary.

Looking forward to that, although the Burton/Depp one was great imo.

I thought the DDK storyline was OK. Certainly better then Prado and Jordan Price. The shows really gotten bad now that Hannah is the focus.

I can't believe the sendoff it's getting. This show had some pretty incredible, strong seasons. I can't stand Hannah, I can't stand the whole "serial killers falling in love and now the world is bright" thing.

Sicknero 09-18-2013 03:38 PM

DDK was certainly OK yes, I just expected more considering the material they had to work with... I mean Travis having an "anti-Harry" was a bit obvious I thought, and Gellar was a way better character than Travis anyway.

Is Dex going to quit killing then? Serial Killers Anonymous perhaps? :D

Not necessarily. Hannah McKay is just back, and I hate the Hannah storyline. Every once in awhile, there's a crazy woman that Dexter can "completely be himself around" and they present it as new and interesting material, even though at the third go, it's not anymore.

Lumen was okay, but Hannah annoys me almost as much as Lila.

Haifisch 09-18-2013 05:01 PM

I'm way behind the times on this, but I started watching The Walking Dead: Season 3 over the weekend. I've finished the first two discs, and so far I'm digging it. I'm glad to finally see how Merle ended up, and The Governor is a damn great villain.

I missed most of the last series so I don't know Hannah at all... it is a bit tired though, the Dexter-and-his-love-life story line : ) I guess they're just trying for a wider appeal, or something... it's a shame they felt the need to let Trinity kill Rita - I think there's much more mileage in Dexter being married than there is in, as you say, itinerant crazy women :)

Although I liked Lila, for one reason or another

Finally caught up on American Horror Story: Asylum

With how off the wall, insane the show was i really wasnt expecting such an emotional ending. It was really well done however i feel like they left a lot of stories unresolved.

Bastion1023 09-23-2013 12:43 AM

Blade Runner is on right now. Last TV show was a little football followed by Broadchurch. Looking forward to Hannibals return though. Watched Sleepy Hollow and I am undecided there.

I didn't know this was on already. I saw a few small ads and thought it wasn't coming on till next week sometime.

Watched Sleepy Hallow the other week from my DVR. Can't say this show has a lot of promise. It's not the actors. The dude playing Icabod Crane seems to be convincing and the actress, Nicole Beharie, is fantastic as the deputy sheriff, Abbie (plus she's rather easy on the eyes and that never hurts). Just seems the producers/writers have tried too hard to make this a modernized tale featuring the Headless Horseman. At one point he uses an assault rifle (and I think, also a shotgun in another scene). Since when did the Headless Horseman learn who to use an assault rifle?! Come on!

Well since in this story the Horseman is supposed to be one of the four horseman of the apocalypse, i think it's safe to say he wouldn't be restricted by the knowledge of the time period in which he existed when he fought Ichabod. He's much more then just some ghost, he can learn and adapt. Which will make him a formidable opponent for Ichabod who needs to learn how the world has changed. I think it's fine that they're including those elements because like it or not, it is a modernized tale.
