The Aviator

I dont care what anyone says, DiCaprio is incredible in this film and as far as I'm concerned its right up there with Scorsese's best work.

Lord of the Rings 2---- 8/10

LOTR 3------ 9.5/10 (It's way too freaking emotional... Not that its a bad thing, but it's almost unbearable)

The Mummy Returns 9/10

Brazil

it was alright. dragged on for too long, Deniro didnt have big enough of a part, and it made absolutely NO sense. porbably wasnt supposed to. As a movie that made no sense, I'd say Naked Lunch was better.

amazing visuals in this one though.

Did you watch the Criterion version? The "final final" directors cut was better I thought. One film that I feel gets better with every watching.

Heartbreak Ridge

I never get tired of seeing this film. Clint Eastwood at his best.

Mario Van Peebles: "You know what's 12 in. long and white? NOTHING!"

Clint: "I'll tell you what's black and bleeding if it don't shut its face."

:D

I think there were parts of the movie that came together to express certain things. I loved the vision of the future, instead of everything being perfect and clean there's still all sorts of problems and the government... heh, the a/c stuff was priceless. The dream sequences are the only things that really don't fit into the "story" I think... but hey you could even look at it as just a love story. :)

I love the ambiguity and dream-like state of the film with the amazing visiuals and odd story. Like I said, watch it a couple more times (I know it's long but when you're bored and don't know what to watch heh) and see if it's any better.

visuals were definetly a very high point. I think if i watch it again il try not to understand it too hard. Thats what I did with Naked Lunch. thats the type of movie you're not supposed to undestand. you ever seen that one btw?

Poseidon [2006]
Mehness. Nothing more.

Stay Alive [2006]
I thought it had a few good parts but overall it sucked.

Yeah, pretty good, I have to watch it again though because the first time I was dissapointed. I think I was expecting a movie based on the book, but Rashomon seemed more akin to the novel while Naked Lunch was just a trip heh.

You know, I can't mention Brazil without at least one saying "face stretching".
