The Penguin is ok, but no way is he as cool as Joker.

The overall look and feel of "Returns" is better, the plot is as good as the first if not better, Catwoman is awesome, but The Penguin was a sorely disapointing villain.

I'd like to say I felt that way, because Jack Nicholson is one of my favorite actors, but I like Danny playing Penguin.

I wanted to like the original more than this, but I just didn't. When I think about Returns, I picture dark, gloomy atmosphere with a solidly evil plot and Michelle Pheifer in tight leather. When I think about Batman, all I see is Jack Nicholson dancing (quite horribly) to a bad 80s Prince song with his boombox toting henchman close behind.

Pulse – The Japanese original. Weird, weird movie. I liked a lot of it, but the shift to the apocalyptic ending left me feeling like I was watching two different movies. Worth another viewing, I suspect.

MoH: Haekel’s Tale – Well, the woman who starred in the film looked good naked, and it being a Clive Barker story I saw the undead orgy coming from minutes away, but that wasn’t a terribly good movie.

And Soon the Darkness – Maybe they hadn’t made the stalker/killer movie very much in the 70s, because this version of that story was desperately boring and couldn’t be made today because there was no suspense at all.

MoH: Chocolate – Not a good film. While the plot was clear, hardly anything about the characters’ actions made any sense. Not good.

Taxi Driver

Well I dont think I can agree with Sam on this being the greatest movie of all time, but its definatly up there. DeNiro was incredible, and the rest of the cast was really solid too.

Great movie
