Thin Ice:

Greg Kinnear as a scummy insurance salesman who becomes caught up in a little bit of mischief that gets darker and darker as the movie progresses.
Also starring Alan Arkin, and Billy Crudup who plays a wonderfully restrained psycho.
I don't want to say too much about it because although some parts are predictable there is still an interesting story here that I don't want to give away.
Basically a movie about tension, and how you just can't trust anyone these days.

Spider-man 2

Been watching the trilogy on Blu-Ray.
Although Tobey Maguire is a weird looking little shit - I still love the films.
I love Spider-man, always have since I was a kid. To get to see him flying around on those webs - and believing it - is a pure joy for me.

and yes that includes spider-man 3 AND the reboot..

I watched Grabbers yesterday, not bad, reminds me a lot of Tremors with a mixture of humor and horror. A fun and breezy movie which is pretty enjoyable.

I finally saw Ex Drummer. Wow. Just, wow.

Spider-Man 3

I like it as much as the others ... never understood why it took so much flack

The Amazing Spider-Man

Love this film... I watched the CGI closely this time - and it's flawless. brilliant work.
I miss the Elfman score but otherwise it's a great reboot.
I really wish they could find a way to get through the legalese and include Spider-Man in the Avengers.

The Punisher (Thomas Jane)

enjoyable. A little tame but i believe they fixed that in the sequel

I still haven't seen Spider-Man 3 or the reboot but I thought the first two were great IMO. The first two X-Men flicks were killer too. I thought they got the vibe of the classic comics down.

I like the Thomas Jane Punisher but (most people would disagree) the Lundgren flick is the best adaption so far.

Red, White and Blue-great gritty film that has a unique delivery in the way it splices it's scenes but also great as a layered revenge thriller. The unlikeable characters strangely heightened my enjoyment of it.

I will name my first born Elvis Christ for turning me onto this film.

The Punisher - War Zone

A crap load of gore in this one - lots of fun.
Technically the second reboot as it referenced the true origin ..

Looked high and low for my copy of the Dolph Lundgren version and couldn't find it - i'd like to check it out next.

I watched this last night and thought it was absolutely brilliant. The three leads couldn't be more believable, and Lyn Shelton's writing and direction masterfully constructed a subtle build-up of dude vs dude competitiveness, resulting in a hilarious and absurd situation. Highly recommended.
