Friday the 13th- The original version. I brought this because it is cheap here. Also i wanted to watch the original in anticipation of the remake. There are some choice scenes, but the movie is a little slow. I wonder if part 2 is better, it has been so long since i originally saw it?

If you found the original slow, I'd skip Part 2 and go straight for #3.

2 is pretty decent, but not one of the best IMO. 3 on the other hand is easily the best of the series, and one of my all-time favourite slasher flicks.

Hudson Hawk is a classic dude! Richard E Grant and Sandra Bernhard are great in that flick. That film copped a lot of shit because it wasn't Die Hard but I still enjoyed it at the time.

By jove I never knew you were into Hindi flicks!! Do you know Hindi (even a little), or watch them with subtitles on?

Boy have I got recs for you if you are into Hindi stuff!

You might be disappointed by Phoonk. (should have got 1920 instead, much better flick)

Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai are both pretty good and intense.

Raaz is great, much better than Phoonk, IMO.

Chandni Chowk is a huge let-down.

Dhoom 2 is wonderful entertainment from start to finish. You ll love it. Same with Krrish.

there was a guy at the flea market selling them .. plus english titles -

he steered me into the english titles and i asked him why he thought i would want those (he basically said - because you're white :)

i told him i was looking mostly for horror because i have heard tell of some indian/pakistani horror films as of late and was interested.

other than the horror ones i basically grabbed anything with a cute girl on the front to fll out the order :)

i dont undersand a word of the language - i will definately be relying on subtitles.

if you can give m a list of recommends for horror - throw them up - the guy said he can get them in for me.

ex-rentals?

I tend to stay away from those apart from one local store that doesn't plaster shit with labels and try and hock off beat up discs.

Some are ex-rental and some were for retail sale anyway.

There was only one sticker on each cover, all of which came off easy enough. A couple of discs look in questionable condition but Ive never had a problem with this particular store in the past so theres no problem getting them replaced or refunded.

lol! Damn the DTs!

Ive referred to you to my wife as a way of showing how unbelievably small my DVD collection is and that she shouldn't moan when I bring home a couple more.

I showed her one of your purchase lists once and her mouth formed a great big O!

they should combine these 2 games :)

_____V_____ 02-27-2009 10:31 AM

I like the visuals in Prince of Persia. Very graphic novel-ish feel to the gameplay.

ICC 2008 is highly addictive. Anyone who is seriously into cricket and loves management games should totally avoid it, or they ll be stuck to their computers for life.
