Gangs of New York

The Evil One. Serial killer flick about a resurrected H.H. Holmes. Not too bad really, but the horrible sound quality (ultra-loud score, super-soft dialogue... and no subtitles to boot) really detracts from it. 5.5/10

strange days.

Street Trash
What a great B movie with horrible acting and cheesy but plentiful gore. The game of keepaway with the severed penis to that wacky music was hillarious! If you like B movies you owe yourself this one. |
The Devil's Rejects
Well, I've always said House of 1000 Corpses wasn't much more than a pretty good Texas Chainsaw Massacre ripoff, so my expectations weren't too high for Devils Rejects. It is because of that, that I was actually pleasently surprised with this. The acting was fine, gore was good and abundant, the subject matter as hardcore as it comes, and the story itself, as well as the way it was presented, was rather fairly original. (Some parts reminded me of Natural Born Killers, but for the most part it felt fresh.) The only complaint I had were a few instants of bad CGI (maybe 2 or 3 total). All in all, a very good, pretty hardcore film. B+ Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Hercules vs. The Moon Men Well, the Hercules movie itself was, once again, terrible. The plot made no sense, the scenes were long, boring and drawn out and the Italian-English dubbing is horrible. F But with the commentary of Joel and the robots, this film steps forward by leaps and bounds. This is probably one of the funnier episodes of the show but keep in mind that this is total pothead humor. If you aren't smokin', you probably won't be laughing either. C+ |

BOO
Had potential...a few good scares but the script had some lame lines and the acting could have been better. |

From Dusk Til Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter
Well, the story was a pretty cool prequel set in the Old West (Or Old Mexico as the case may be), the gore is alright and a few of the actors were good, but there was also some crappy acting and a weird out of place ballroom dance scene between a vampire and a future victim and for some unknown reason one of the vampires had a cobra inside of them (???) . Anyways, this movie had potential, but it was some really avoidable stupid stuff that drag it's grade down... C - |

For me, it was Hellraiser: Inferno. Surprisingly enough, this one was actually pretty decent. A radical departure from the earlier films in the series, but I was pleased. I might actually consider checking out some of the later sequels. Overall: 6.5/10 |

I just finished watching The Dreamers-3/10,I think I understand where this director's vision was wanting to go,but for some reason he got stoned in the middle of filming and said"awww, fuck it". And Vlad-0/10-this is a piece of crap, the spammers that spewed forth this movie need to come back here so I can have a word with THEM. |
Junebug and A History of Violence. both 3/5 movies.
|
Star Wars III: better than I expected and far outshone the previous two.
Identity: I like this film but then again any film with John Cusack and Ray Liotta cant be bad. |
A Christmas Adventure 8 / 10
A Midsummernight's Dream 10 / 10 Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone 9 / 10 Pinchcliffe Grand Prix 10 / 10 Watership Down - Season 1 (9 / 10) |
Walk The Line
I was gonna wait to see it with my grammy, but I couldn't...but I'm more than happy to see it again. It was great, just about everyone in the theater was stomping and clapping along...pretty damn cool movie, if you're into Johnny Cash that is. |
Wes Craven's Deadly Friend..... really offbeat teenage Frankenstein crossed with Nightmare on Elm Street, Short Circuit and The Goonies.
