Barnyard: Another typical animal-based CGI flick, complete with an over-preached message. I wish I was still 5 so I could get some enjoyment out of these.
Open Season is up next, which I'm hoping will be better. |

Idiocracy.
I loved it, it's retarded and completely genius at the same time. Not on the same level as office space, but I think it's one of the funnier movies of last year. |
Bloody Mary (2006) (see b-movie thread)
Next up... Creepshow 3. |
Creepshow 3
I've only ever seen the first Creepshow movie, and I really enjoyed it. I've been hearing nothing but negative things about this sequel, but I must say... even when I had decided to hate it beforehand, I ended up really enjoying it. The animation and title sequence was horid, IMO, and I was sad to see that no Creeper / Comic Book existed. Based on this, I was expecting the worst. The first story had terrible acting, and didn't make much sense to me, so the expectations stayed the same. But after that, there was a giant leap in quality. I loved every story beyond that, and even looking back, I can appreciate the first. Each story is inter-connected by various characters, which is interesting and creates a sort of "time-line" in which everything occurs. Pretty wild. The stories are equally over-the-top and hillarious as the first (even more so, perhaps) and the wierd factor is definately there. I dug this, I have to admit, and it certainly isn't as terrible as most people make it out to be. |
