Disney's The Black Hole. I thought it was "oh, okay I guess" when it first came out but I like it more and more. Funny how the robots looked so "cute" in 1979 and look more stylized than cute now. Back then people were pointing at the robot designs..."Look! Look! It's a Disney Studios film, all right. See how they couldn't resist putting cute robots in it?" But the cuteness just doesn't seem so harsh after the passage of twenty-five years or so. Dark story, at times very creepy in a subtle way that's underappreciated.

Thats what I thought until they started to explain the history...took a fast nosedive into a realm of plot holes, contrived twists and just flatout "bad"-ness.

Oh, and the part where they were trying to ripoff The Thing was stupid, too.

Spider Baby, or The Maddest Story Ever Told

Not bad...started out stong and went downhill somewhat, but still a very enjoyable little flick

Species 3

Wow, this series really dropped the ball on this one. The original & sequel were pretty solid alien horror, but this one was just a jumbled clusterfuck of too many ideas thrown into a confusing plot. I was not entertained much at all & I guess I never expected to find myself missing Michael Madsen's presence in a film, but I did. This film was lacking in everything from acting quality & gore to a good story. The thing I found most confusing was that this film had multiple alien infants (Whereas the first 2 films pretty much stuck with 1) and because they reach adulthood within days, it was pretty tough to keep straight who was an alien and who was a human. I don't know... Terrible execution here.
