happy feet - watched it with my son who was home sick yesterday :(

not a bad film ... i'm getting extremely sick of the 'its ok to be different' message that seems to be the point of every kids film ..but he sure liked it.

you know, I liked this one too, but what got me was the "question the validity of your gods" angle to the story. Really odd tone and some rather frightening action sequences that scared my 3 year-old just enough for him to love the sensation of being scared.

I really like the way Miller isn't afraid to deal with death and scary themes in his kids' films - like the much darker (and a little better) Babe: Pig in the City

"Westworld"

A great early '70's sci-fi western. Richard Benjamin and James Brolin as tourists at a futuristic amusement park where you get to play cowboys and fight robot outlaws. Everything is great until the robots start acting out there roles for real.
Yul Brynner (in Magnicent Seven costume) costars as a android gunslinger

Nuevo Mundo
it was banned in Mexico for 20 years because it depicts the creation of the image of La Virgen de Guadalupe as a work for hire from the Church instead of teh "miracle" that so many Mexican hold dear.

good movie.
