Conatagion.

A none to great virus flick that had all the fixins of a TV movie, but wasnt. Not very original plot, mostly either washed up or unheared of [polite ways to say "bad", in this case] actors, plus one ot two big names [Jeffery Combs, the only glimmer of talent]. I enjoyed it somewhat...worth renting, but considering I bought it for less then it would have cost to rent....Iguess it's worth owning:p

Just watched "Ladder 49" ....good movie...kinda like "Backdraft"..well acted. good effects, good story.

If your into fireman type movies.....it will suffice.

Also watched "Dazed and Confused".

Brought me back..............*sings Barbara Streisand*

Mem’ries,
Like the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? could we?

Amelie:Well deserved three nominations in 2002 for Jeunets crazy love comedy about Amelie from Montmatre, living in a world filled with skeletons in disguise, window watchers, talking photos and so on.

Disneys Home On The Range:A hilarous and cute but too short all star animated barnyard comedy with voices by Roseanne Barr and Judi Dench, and songs by Tim McGraw and Bonnie Raitt.

it's fun listening to his belly laughs :)

LOL...one of my daughters has been sick with the flu, so I bought her this flick, hoping it might help with her laying in bed all day blues. Instead it turned into, lay on the couch and have daddy watch it with her on the big screen. So hay, being the great dad I am we watched it in all it's 5.1 surround sound, big screen glory. My kids watch, (and love) a lot of the older more benign horror/Sci-Fi films with me so hay a kids flick once in awhile don't hurt.

God knows I've bought enough of the SB blankets and sheet sets, underware, (for the kids!) shirts, and pajamas, but I'd never really sat down and watched any of the cartoons. I have to admit it was funny, made me laugh too. But back to reality, now it's time for a Sponge Bob Slasher film...

it wasnt as tight as the TV show ... some parts seemed a bit draggy, but there were some really good laughs in there...
especially - of course - Patrick

Just saw "The Pianist"... Very good movie, but not as good as Schindler's List. Pretty damn graphic. Just thinking about what the nazis did to the old guy in wheelchair makes me cringe. What is even scarier is that these events actually happened in Poland.

"Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park".....I'm a old Kiss fan sooooo :)
...Cant remember watching a movie with worse stand ins....:D

Uzumaki (japanese horror flick, not bad)

urgeok 03-06-2005 08:08 PM

watched 'Phone' tonight ..
the koreans just haven't nailed it the way the Japanese have.
This film used most of the same elements of the eye/ju-on/dark water but not as effectively and for some reason the filmmaker felt the need to explain every little detail of the back story.
Decent acting ..especially the kid ..
I dont know if its because of the language or cross culture effect but these kids in the japanese/korean films seem so much better than american kid actors.

anyway - i cant really recommend this one .. its a poor cousin to the japanese counterparts.
