A Nightmare on Elm Street, easy. One of a small number of slashers that are objectively good and, in my opinion, reach masterpiece level. I love slashers, but most are not of high quality objectively. There is a small group that is high quality and Nightmare on Elm Street is definitely one of those films and is easily near the top of that list.

Oh, man, that movie played a BIG role in my childhood - Definitely see it; it's a blast.
