Excellent movie. My favorite kind of horror, story first and horror second. Well acted and very creepy.

Just saw these two recently. Didn't like Tokyo Psycho. Thought Natural City was pretty good.

Whispering Corridors and Ju-On 2

Both movies were very... average. Worth seeing, but I don't think I'll watch them again. Well maybe I'd watch Ju-on 2 again, probably not Whispering Corridors though.

is it along the lines of the wishing stairs or whatever that movie is called (i only watched half of it)

i'm so confused about these Korean and Japanese films ..
from what i've read the whispering corridors is sort of part of a trilogy taking place in korean girls schools ? or am i a mile off ?

You´re right.

Angra 08-18-2006 10:52 AM

I think "whispering corridors" is the name of the series.

And i think "Wishing stairs" is the 3rd.

urgeok 08-18-2006 11:12 AM

well, i still wouldnt mind checking them out ..

my problem has been with the asian store i go to - the covers are rarely in english. and the same movie can be in there with 3 different covers. (i'm still trying to figure out which Ju-on movies i have.
usually english subtitles - but i've been burnt for that too ..

I can't remember I think it was The Eye but I don't think I actually finished it haha
It was good though I thought
I want to see The Eye 2 that looks........ MINT :]

XtRaVa 08-19-2006 08:41 AM

It's not BAD, but I didn't think it was as good as the first :P

Mainly because the first is a classic!

:D

XtRaVa 08-20-2006 05:54 AM

Havnt had that problem yet. Only problem I've had is when the subs were very badly synced with the speech, or when the translation was awful.

Burning in Hell 08-24-2006 11:11 AM

Re-cycle by the Pang brothers. Visually beautiful, but very cheesy towards the end, with a very annoying moralizing tone. A big letdown from these two...

Pretty much everything, as long as its good of course. Gore/Torture/Survival/Slasher/Ghosts/Classic/Thriller/Zombies, I can't say that there is a particular style I like above all the others.

And unlike many here it seems, I am not an Italian movies freak. There are good movies from there, of course, but there is a side to them I find sometimes a tad too cheesy. Just my opinion anyways...

The last Asian flick i watched was Dead or Alive. I really like Japanese movies, especially horror, but i'm a big fan of Takashi Miike. This was a great flick, not horror, but still alot of fun. His yakuza films are excellent as well.
