i play on nhl games a lot

Jacob Singer 09-26-2006 05:44 AM

well, Fatal frame 1 and 2 has a very similar story but I like how the closed the saga on the third part. The real problem would be if Campco decides to make another game for the new PS 'cause the story finished on Ps2 saga .

And talking about the apartment, yes the scenes there are scarier than in the dream manssion. The game producer had said that they put that scenes cause they took the idea from Silent HIll 4 (maybe 'cause the Silent team took some elements from Fatal Frame for Silent Hill 4)

I´m pretty sure they can manage to come up with SOME kind of excuse to continue FF if they want to. It´s been done before.;)

Jacob Singer 09-26-2006 08:29 AM

Yeah, something like "Kirie's vengance" (There's no enough ropes in both worlds to stop her!!!)

Deus Ex 2 was ok. The thing that I hated the most about it was the horrid and choppy frame rate. It lagged so much that it wasn't even funny.

If you have played Thief, you know what I'm talking about. The graphics are so good, they're bad. :(

Also, I was never able to play Fatal Frame 1 or 2 very much because they scared the shit out of me when I was younger. Maybe they wouldn't now that I'm older? I should also check into the 3rd.

Silent Hill 3 was decent, never got that far on the rental because I was working a lot then.

I need to get back into video games....And go for the horror oriented only.

Right now: Halo

Despare 09-30-2006 04:21 PM

Deus Ex 2 is beautiful on my pc and doesn't jump around or skip... addicting game too with a lot of the elements I loved from the first one back for #2. Finished HL2 Episode 1 yesterday and I can't wait for Episode 2, what a game. I love the way HL2 makes you panic, whether it's your elevator falling and trapping you underwater making you find a quick escape or a black headcrab that poisons you and drops you to 1HP, HL2 really keeps the energy up through the whole game.

Vodstok 10-02-2006 05:02 AM

How about the basement with no lights, some flares, and unending zombies? Gave me the damn willies. Had to play through that part 6 times on my second time through episode 1 just to make it out with over half my health, and i am a hardcore HL veteran....

urgeok 10-02-2006 07:31 AM

my kid got a teenage mutant ninja turtle game for the x-box on his birthday and he loves it ...

The Suffering. I played this a little on X-box but I rented it for Ps2. I really enjoy it but it has that same feel of a first person monster shooter. Very good though. CREEPY

I'm embarrassed to say it...but i'm still playing Half Life 2......I haven't finished it yet.....what an asshole.

ManchestrMorgue 10-06-2006 05:58 AM

Been playing 2006 Fifa World Cup (EA Sports).

Last fifa game I bought was the last World Cup edition.

This is a great game. There has been a vast improvement in graphics, physics, AI, and control over the years, making the purchase of this update worthwile. However, I don't think it would be worth getting the new version each year unless you are a serious football fan.

Despare 10-06-2006 10:05 AM

Very soon the Battlefield 2142 demo will finish downloading and then, I will be playing.

i had a brief look at Doom3
holy shit - i have to admit it's a pretty cool game - it really draws you in ..

they included the origional doom on the disk - holy shit that brought back some old memories..

The_Return 10-10-2006 09:55 AM

Viewtiful Joe (Gamecube)

Every now and then I find myself going back to this game. It's a fantastic game, but GOD is it frusterating!

Ive been stuck at the damn "Another Joe" boss for ages, I just cant seem to beat him. Ive tried everything I can think of, Ive even gone to online walkthrough guides....grrrraaaarr he's a cheap-ass boss

Doom 3 isnt quite as deep as HL2 or F.E.A.R., but the "Holy fucking shit, I am going to die horribly while screaming!" Atmosphere makes up for that :)

oh hell yeah ... there is a bit of effective build up .. then the 1st bit of hell breaks loose - and its like ... shit - i'm there :)

Vodstok 10-10-2006 10:39 AM

yeah, doesnt really give you a chance to get ready for it, it comes about 10 minutes before i was expecting it.

If you get a chance, check out FEAR, the last 20 minutes or so are even more intense than Doom3, and it has an ending that would do a hollywood shocker proud.

never heard of it ... is it x-box too ?

one other movie i got has a pretty creepy vibe .. i think its called cold fear ..
you're dropped off on what seems to be an abandoned ship .. end up fighting live russians and zombies ... there is a really well done storm on the surface - with huge waves ..

JP500 10-10-2006 11:16 AM

COD2 on the Xbox360.

Nah, F.E.A.R. is a pc only game (so far). has some pretty beefy requirements, but is completely worth it.

It will be on the 360 and the PS3 in a month or so.

Vodstok 10-10-2006 11:33 AM

Im a pc purist, but that is good news. Everyone should get a chance to play it, plus, if monolith continues to make money on it, the sequal wioll come that much sooner :)

Despare 10-12-2006 02:52 PM

Everybody with a 360 is trying the demos right? Some great ones like F.E.A.R. and Smackdown (ok I'm a wrestling nut) seriously outweight the crap... like the new Sonic game. UGH

Geddy 10-12-2006 03:33 PM

I have to keep starting over on the legend of zelda on my nes, my files keep getting erased

BudMan 10-17-2006 08:10 AM

Just finished Half Life 2 on the PC. In regards to the ending......WTF.

Still a great game.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 10-17-2006 08:42 AM

I felt like playing counter-strike: source for the first time in like forever but I forget my steam password and secret question.

I used to play it, it was the only game that could really hold my attention. Had a bit of free time and thought I'd kill a few people and then harrass them about it. :p

Geddy 10-17-2006 12:03 PM

I'm working on beating the original Final Fantasy.

Phalanx 10-19-2006 12:19 AM

Shouldn't be too hard...time consuming, but a decent title overall. Personally preferred segas "phantasy star" series, but they're both decent.

Installing Deus EX 2: Invisible war, as I type. I LOVED the first one (after finally playing past stage 1...which to this day annoys the shit outta me), and it's now one of my alltime favourite FPS games...here's hoping the second one is at least somewhere around that in quality.
