it's intellectually stimulating, has fantastic acting and speciall effects, and it's probably the 3rd best Sci-Fi movie ever (behind Alien and 2001)

no, it's nothing like either of those. Visually, it's kinda like the original Metropolis mixed with old noir movies. It's like a noir/Sci-Fi, I guess (noir-fi?).
