Hey, this is Wheels from Australian horror-grind-noise band Kerbstomper. Kerbstomper is a mixture of grindcore drumming (500 beats per minute minimum, average 950), warped techno sound effects, horror movie samples and sludgey guitars. Recommended for fans of Cannibal Corpse, Mortician, The Berzerker and slasher horror movie buffs.
DAMN 950:eek: i normally do about 200-250 but im not really metal either so.... i'll make sure and check you guys out when i got more time (workin my ass off right now) becaues im a pretty avid corpse fan.

Arioch,
I wanted to make something as close to Mortician's drumming style. The Cannibal Corpse influence is in the 'melody', and I use that term loosely for a reason. There's lot of seriously downtuned guitars, but I'm hoping to get more guitar samples off my friends so I can use something different to make some more tracks.

As for band names... I'm only good with the horror style, so I ain't much help to you.

LOL, well i listened to them as well. And while they certainly are abrasive and not what ur used to hearing i wouldnt go as far as saying its the worst shit ive ever heard. I think you have some good things going here and some of your samples sound really cool (like alter boy sodomisation). I think you have some good elements here but ill agree some of the tracks are a bit tough to listen to, but if thats what your going for then hey....

Heh, well...

Arioch gets the point of the 'music', Sam understands the truth and kpropain - can I use your quote on my website? I use the term loosely for a reason. The point is not to have powerful chord progressions with a heavenly angel on vocals. It's to be noise - and as loud and sonically violent as possible.

I don't expect people to like it. But at least you guys gave me some honest feedback, which is always good. Thanks for listening as well, you may have just propelled me into the top 10 metal artists for this week.

Hey thats understandable wheels. Not all music has to be consanant and easily to listen to with perfect harmonies etc. Theres something to be said for using noise and making people feal anxious and uncomfortable through music. Its just as much of an art as making them feal good throught music. Just a different means, and one not so often persued i might say.

Exactly, hehe. I just like making things as noisy and abrasive (I like that word) as possible. There's room for everything in music, some guy made an album sampling dot matrix printers and producing melodies out of that.

But I want to make it clear I don't expect everyone to like Kerbstomper, I just want to get some honest feedback from people.

Just an update:

I finished the punkish-too-many-guitars one. Im now starting on whats probably the last half of the other darker one. It needs alot of work but will turnout badass i bet.

Mp3's will be up soon.;)

Arioch 02-27-2004 11:21 PM

For real Wheels.

Anyone else got anything new for us to hear?
