Jason X

Had its moments. Went a little overboard in places with the whole self-referential/intentionally chessy sthick, but it could have been worse.

Schramm

one of the most fucked up movies i have ever seen. creates good atmosphere, but too fucked up for my liking.

Children of Men (2007)

The best movie I've seen in a damn long time. Brilliant filmmaking.

Many people bash it for taking the franchise to the extreme edge. I think they tried to give it a different twist from the other disappointing sequels before. For a horror movie, it was pretty decent viewing. For being a sequel...well...it isnt another Aliens, thats for sure.

Omen III: The Final Conflict. 06/10

No use making any sort of comparison with the other two before, simply because this one runs on a slightly different track. Damien's 32, while in the other two he wasnt even 18.
Its different from the book, obviously, and is loaded with plenty of dramatic moments like (**SPOILERS**) the original British Ambassador planning his own dramatic suicide, Damien talking to Jesus's statue from behind etc. The deaths are nicely done, and one particular death is totally grotesque and revolting.
Sam Neill does a decent job, although he doesnt look as menacing as he should be. Direction is OK, atmosphere is tolerable, and the script has its slow moments, but picks up in the latter half. Not a fitting end to such a strong character of Damien Thorn by any stretch of the imagination, but a nice curtain to his cinematic personality. A decent watch, IMO.
