pretty crude considering we were watching it with our 6 year old ...
my wife and i were cringing - a lot -
but it was pretty funny in places ... especially the hamster madness at the beginning.

nothing funnier than the sight of a million hamsters running all over the place.

...so I got hold of a movie called "Silk" aka "Guisi " looks pretty interesting...gonna watch it tonight...maybe this belongs in the Japanese section but I dont care

Are You Scared?
Yes, it's a rip-off of SAW... much like The Hillside Stranglers, Snakes on a Train, and The Child. Only it's better made then those. It's not amazing, nor is it completely terrible. Most people won't like it, but I did. The first half is boring, but it does have some cool traps (the twin drill trap) - once the twist comes in the second act, it gets more interesting. Good ending too, I thought. Very eerie. The acting was the only terrible thing I noticed - it's obvious the director has some talent. The camera angles were better then most B/C movies (expecially the overhead pans... suprised they had the lift to do those). The setting has very fake-looking. Like... the skies looked CGI, as well as all the lights on the traps. But it wasn't BAD CGI, it gave it a fantasy-like look. Atmospheric, if anything. Script was bad; stereotypical black male character was included.

Doesn't touch any of the SAW movies, but if you're a fan of those it's worth checking out.

Little Miss Sunshine--very enjoyable little flic. Funny with tender moments that didn't get too sappy.

Damien: Omen II. 06/10

More than decent sequel to the original classic masterpiece. It stayed faithful to the book as much as possible, although William Holden tried his best to emulate Gregory Peck but failed. The raven sequences were great to watch though, and the movie had its surreal moments. Yet nowhere as good as the original. Nicely directed and pacy thoughout.

An American Werewolf in Paris. 06/10

Talking about sequels, this one was behind in all departments where the original had excelled. The acting, direction, pace, effects and sound all were paler in comparison, although the movie does hold off on its own and has some excellent moments of atmospheric bizarreness. Anyone who wants to see this, watch it with a more open mind, and you will enjoy it.
