A History of Violence, highly recommend it with some nice lingering gore shots which, as far as i know, are very realistic. Viggo not the most convincing mafiosi tho

Despare 10-07-2005 06:56 PM

Loved History of Violence, top notch, go and see it!

The first 10 minutes of The Brothers Grimm (full feature film) and it was just another one of those Van Helsing flicks. Ach. My night was duly rescued after I switched to watching...Exorcist: Dominion. :)

I want to see this movie so badly. The chances of it coming to a theater near me are nearly nil though. Anyway, last night I watched The Thing with my dad. Great movie.

"Star wars 3 - revenge of the sith" 8/10

By far the best of the last 3 for 1 reason only. Lesser talking, more action.

Like the good old Lucas days.

Angra 10-09-2005 02:29 PM

"Devils reject" 2/10

Fucking hated the first half. The last half was watchable, but stupid.

Is this really the kind of horror movies that americans love the most?

I´m just asking since alot of you H.C people has mentioned it as the best horror movie to come out of 2005...... Jesus christ..

scouse mac 10-09-2005 02:41 PM

JUst watched Dario Argento's Phenomena ( released in the States as Creepers so im told ). Have to say slightly disappointed, i think ive just realised that all his films are remarkably similar

Angra 10-09-2005 04:26 PM

"Brothers Grimm" 6-7/10

Could have been MUCH better. :(

zomb5150 10-09-2005 09:00 PM

I Just watched "The Church" it was o.k.

noctuary 10-09-2005 09:07 PM

Brazil. I've been hearing a lot of praise for this film over the years, so I decided to see it for myself. Not too bad, but very long, and some parts are a little dull. It's quite humorous at certain points, but the humor is very, very dry. Overall: 6/10.

I loved the movie, the begining WAS terrible, I admit,..but a great movie to me. BUT, I don't think of it as a horror movie at all.

Anyways, I just saw The Exorcism of Emily Rose...not what I expected, but it was kinda cool. One scene had me laughing uncontrollably..guess no one else thought it was that funny cos they were lookin at me weird.

What exactly did you LIKE about it?

Yes, I know. Romantic comedy with Robert Redford. Normally, I wouldnt have gone near this with a 10 foot pole, but I felt kinda obligated to see it....cause my mother was an extra!! Honestly, it wasnt a bad movie overall, somewhat amusing in parts, but it was really cool to see my mother point herself out in the crowd! Anyone who's seen it, she's part of the crowd infront of the Taft Gallery near the end:D

I´m sure if you love movies such as "TCM" and especially Rob zombie´s first "House of 1000 corpses", you will like this one as well.

I truly hated "House of 1000 corpses"..
