He doesn't lack self confidence, that's for sure.

It also cracked me up how he was constantly mentioning his own films. "I hope this meal was the La Bamba for you!"

That, and calling it "lou-sagna"!

Last watched show was Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. On Saturday I'm going to a restaurant in Philly that Guy Fieri was at - The Memphis Tap Room (www.memphistaproom.com). Definitely going to try the deep fried pickles!

I watched it. I wasn't very impressed. The writing was obvious and ham-handed. It was about on par with something you'd see on Syfy.

Spaced

Going through the series again, loving it even more.

Ghost Hunters

Apparently, Grant is leaving the show. Bummer. I always liked the working relationship between him and Jason.

What he said last night was that it's very stressful and has some personal things to take care of. Today, on Facebook, Jason said that Grant is going back to school for graphic design and will be concentrating on his music and art.

The River

Really lame. Would've worked better if it wasn't a found footage premise. Seeing as the went down that path least have make your "found footage" believable. It's just ridiculous shaking the camera around when there's no way they would bother filming half of this shit in real life. Easily the worst I've seen this aspect handled. This show fucking sucks.

I agree. The found footage aspect plus the pacing really killed it for me. Plus i couldn't care less about any of the characters. I might give it another chance as i actually only watched the first part of the premiere so far but i'm not all too interested.

ImmortalSlasher 02-20-2012 02:18 PM

Usually I don't like the found footage/reality type shows. But I like The River. I didn't like it at first. But I think the mystery has me hooked. The unexplored portion of The River, the setting of the old boat, and all the potential things they could find. The last episode reminded me of Raiders of the Lost Ark with the cave and jungle people.

Twilight Zone: Death Ship

Twilight Zone has some really freaky episodes. This is one of them. I vaguely remember watching this episode when I was younger. But the ending gave me shivers. Basically, three space pilots land on a planet and find a crashed ship identical to their own. What follows is a dark nightmare in the words of Rod Serling.
