however - i just now found Brain Doners on DVD (a double feature with Critical Condition)

I'm thrilled - it's widescreen and my previous copy was a promo VHS.

A friend gave me THE UNSEEN - which hasn't yet been released on DVD:D

I felt a lot of it fell short of funny, but the ending was a riot.

yeah i really enjoyed it - it's a guilty pleasure ..

i love the music - especially during the opening and closing animated sequences ...absolutely love it.

i'm kidding ... the only thing that's really preventing me from posting is the embarrassment of how many i've bought - AFTER saying how much better i was going to be ... (i keep finding these damn sales on used DVDs)

'twas another good shopping day. PUMPED about finding those Lewton double features, been waiting ages for a director's cut of Dark City (one of my favourite sci-fi flicks), and after reading Hush + Long Halloween I've been wanting to track down more of Loeb's work.

I'm still working my way through Hellboy: Wake the Devil, so I wont get to Chained Coffin for awhile, and I've never heard of Stories of Lost Souls - just bought it cause it was cheap and had a pretty solid cast. Still, I'm VERY happy with today's purchases :D

i was amazed when i saw it in a bargain bin - i've been looking for this one for years ...

just wondering if anyone here has even heard about it ... technically a terrible fim but it still makes me laugh and has one of the best soundtracks of any film : The Party Animal

I had no idea it was available on DVD..

Still trying to track one down that isn't too expensive and actually works! Figured buying a few discs here and there will get me more motivated to grab one.

The Party Animal looks good I remember seeing it around when I was a kid.
Was the one you picked up on MGM? That label brings out some old school gems.

$4.99 is a steal! Tom Hulce is great in Dominic and Eugene. Been well over 10 years since I caught that one.

Walked into a closing shop's take-em-away sale down the street yesterday and picked these up real cheap (at about $3 each) :-

went completely insane today ..

a buddy of mine came to visit - brought me a HD-DVD player he got cheap and a couple of HD-DVDs.

so a few hours later - i came home with a 42" LG plasma TV, a yamaha 5.1 surround system, and about 50 HD titles bought at $5 each.

i'm not going to list them..

Last flick I got was a copy of Zombie Anonymous to review.
