Yeah, it took a few episodes for me to get into it, but man oh man. Really looking forward to season 2.

I've just started to give this another go. Hated it initially but have really got into it since the 2nd & 3rd episode. Think I just needed some characters to hate in it :D

FreddyMyers 11-29-2011 08:56 PM

Used to watch Fringe but now into Grimm.

Fearonsarms 12-02-2011 01:25 AM

Knightmare (1987-1994)-the CGI seems dated now but at the time it was all very avant garde-the effects I mean but regardless an awesome children's fantasy game series that continues to have adults like me rewatching it every few years plus some surprisingly scary moments that still shiver spines today-Mogdred is absolutely terryfing and he gave me nightmares as a kid at the time. And then there's Mildread a hilarious cockney witch-who could have had her own show.

Haha, yeah. It definitely takes a few episodes to sink into it; there's just so much setup in the first couple of episodes.

It's one of the few series where I'm interested in all the characters stories. Usually there's a couple I can't really be bothered with. The Targaryen stroyline is my favourite at the moment.

dirty sanchez, cant look at some of the things those guys do

Once Upon a Time

Started watching Neverland on SyFy, but, of course, fell asleep.

Yeah, totally. For having so many storylines going every which way and intersecting, they manage them really well. The Targaryen storyline is great. I don't want to say anything else, though, cause I'm not sure where you are in the season.

Up to the last couple of episodes. Great stuff. Really glad I managed to avoid any spoilers and got to go into the series blind. Can't believe I didn't like this show at first :D

"Lifes too Short", just watched episode 5.
For those that are unaware of the show, it's the latest done by Gervais/Merchant. It's a comedy mockumentary about the life of Warwick Davis (The little fella from Willow/Harry Potter/Leprechaun) and follows him as he struggles to book work and run a "dwarves for hire" acting firm, while going through a divorce.
As per usual there's a few celebrity pop ins, Liam Neeson was actually pretty hilarious, they had Johnny Depp, Helena BC, and Steve Carell too.
Didn't think I'd like it, as I have not got into anything Gervais/Merchant have done personally, and even though it smacks of their style I actually found this pretty enjoyable, and this last episode (5) was the funniest comedy show I'd seen in AGES.
I'd recommend it.

Elvis_Christ 12-10-2011 07:15 PM

Will have to check that out sounds like a great watch.

Elvis_Christ 12-11-2011 03:00 PM

Finished up Game Of Thrones last night. Looking forward to the new season... I'm impatiently waiting to see some heads roll. This show has taken the prize for making me hate the villains more passionately than any other show I've watched :D

Caught the final episode of Sons Of Anarchy too. Brilliant season hopefully it won't have a lacklustre flow up like the disappointing third season.

The Villain 12-11-2011 07:14 PM

The season finale of Boardwalk Empire. It was a good episode but i can't say i'm excited for the third season. I'll watch it but my opinion of the show has dropped.

Started on Life's Too Short last night. Not to bad... got a feeling it'll grow on me. Liam Neeson's "stand up/improv" comedy was hilarious.

Watched some of the new Beavis & Butthead too. Beavis' pet rat was pretty cute.

cheebacheeba 12-14-2011 02:34 AM

"I have full blown AIDS"
...I thought you might...

Just get to episode 5 on it, IMO it gets funnier and funnier.
The 5th was just...awesome, and I next to never get into comedy shows.

The Villain 12-18-2011 05:56 PM

Just watched the season finale of Dexter. It was an amazing end to a great season and an excellent storyline and not since the ending of the fourth have i been this excited to see the opening moments of the next season. I hate that i have to wait so long.

Fearonsarms 12-19-2011 07:47 AM

Babylon 5-I tend to watch all 5 series and the movies of this every few years. I think I always will-I never tire of it and I seem to spot new things each time I see it. Shame its spin off-Crusade was axed after only one series-a great loss.

Been watching this myself, up to episode six now over here. Its had a fair bit of criticism for recycling so many scenes from 'The office' and 'extras'. Personally I think it is better than 'Extras' and Warwick Davis is doing a pretty amazing David Brent 'impression', his physical acting is awesome.

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives

Fearonsarms 12-25-2011 04:49 PM

The Doctor Who xmas special-Is it just me or are xmas specials of doctor who really crap. I look forward to the new series. I shouldn't have bothered but I couldn't resist getting my hopes dashed again.

You know I've never actually watched that-it's only because I couldn't stand the recent BBC series of Robin Hood (made by the same producers I think)-but the more I think about it the more I should maybe watch this on Iplayer-I may just do it.

You should, it's really good. From what i've heard of Robin Hood they're a lot different.

Fearonsarms 12-25-2011 05:45 PM

That's good to know-I'll watch an episode off bbciplayer later

Only saw the one episode of Merlin but it was quite entertaining. I guess I didn't really know what was going on but after I have finished watching Babylon 5 I'll see if I can find it's first episode on the BBC archives and take it from there.

Been watching DVDs of "Robin of Sherwood". It doesn't stand the test of time (the acting is terrible!), but my God Michael Praed is gorgeous!

Pure Pwnage 10/10

I highly recommend this comedy series to any one who is a gamer. You can find it on Hulu and youtube. They made 18 webisodes and then got picked up by a Canadian network for an 8 episode season. If you watch the show and like it then its kind of neat to check out the info on how the show came to be.
