Wow that game just looks like a murder fest, really cool kill commands and the fact that Jason's mom whispers sweet nothings into my ear along the way is a friendly reminder that what I am doing is right ::devil::. I agree with above responses where switching chapters between playing a good guy and Jason would be a great idea. Having that mix of personality I just don't know how they would tie it into the story.

"Until Dawn: Rush of Blood" ps4 vr 9-10/10
Imo, Until Dawn was one of the best games to come out last year, but it wasn't particularly frightening. This sure as hell was. An adrenaline fueled hell ride shooter. |
![]() "Robinson - the Journey" PS4 VR 8/10 *SPOILER WARNING* So after about 7 hours of gameplay, which has been an amazing experience, Robin says: "I'm gonna create a new civilization", and his robot says: "Look Robin, there might be other survivors spread out over the planet. Let's get home.", and I thought to myself, fuck yes, the game is only getting started and the past 7 hours was just the intro!!... Then the credits started rolling. WTF?!!! ::mad:: That explains why the game isn't just called Robinson (Or Robin), cuz this was just chapter 1, The Journey. A chapter with the price of $60, which is why my rating ended at 8/10 and not 10/10. |
I finally got the last achievement for Bioshock last night (Worlds of Hurt - Expert) - it took me quite a while.
|
"Final Fantasy 15" ps4 8/10
|
Doom (4).
Booooooooring Finished. Unsatisfying. |
"Uncharted 4" ps4 7/10
Like playing a movie, but doing the same recipe over and over again got tiresome and in the end I couldn't wait for the game to be over. |

If you've played 1-3 it's pretty much more of the same, so if those are engaging enough #4 is.
Personally I think the mistake of the game is that it felt the need to compete and do the "open world" a bit more itself. Essentially all this lead to was landscapes full of not much, a little confusion about where to go, and delay between "real" stages. Also, a couple of the puzzles were just...too damn long... Personally I think UC 4 had some amazing scenes - the motorcycle/car chase was intense. The dialogue and storyline was on par with the rest. Music was great. The combat and enemy AI was improved yet again. Some stuff from the past, some stuff from the future, a couple new characters thrown in the mix. I liked it. Maybe not as much as UC2, still my favourite, but I thought it was at least equal with #3. |

They improve that with every game. The hand to hand, the gunplay, even just how the character moves around. I'd really recommend UC2 for the storyline, the villain (the best IMO), the scenery. I think you'd be missing out on something great if you skip straight to four...not to mention there *is* an amount of backwards referencing etc - not to mention UC4 really does pay off for the legacy players. You can buy 1-3 remastered on the PS4 quite cheaply. Angra is right though, the open world stuff is minimal. It's more just to show off the games looks. It's somewhat linear. If that's all you want to check it out for, you will be disappointed. |
I was thinking... what was my "last beaten game"?
Been a long ass time... I think it was Portals 2. ::big grin:: |

![]() "Hellblade" 8/10 Pros: 1. Stunning graphics and amazing sound. Headphones are a must. 2. The price. $30 is really cheap for a product that looks a helluva lot like a tripple A game. 3. Lots of very intense moments. 4. Hellblade is a game you will remember a long time after 2017 has ended. Cons. 1. Autosave. The fact that you can't save manually makes this quite a stressfull experience, as you can only fail a limited number of times before the game starts over and deletes your save files. Or so you are being told the first time you die. 2. The puzzles. Pretty repetitive and some of them frustratingly hard to figure out. 3. The battles. Again, very repetitive and stressful when you're up against two foes or more. And yes, I suck at it!! 3. The main characters constantly open mouth. A minor issue of mine. 4. The main characters voice and person as a whole annoyed me. 5. And worst of all, which might just be in my case. Game bugs. After the first couple of hours of gameplay I managed to fall through the ground and just kept falling and falling, so I went to the main menu and started the stage all over only to find I couldn't start the puzzle again that would lead me to the next stage. This wouldn't have been a big issue if it hadn't been for the freakin autosave. So I ended up having to start the game all over again. Many hours later on I stumbled upon the same kind of bug that had me falling under ground again and I was almost shitting my pants. But luckily this time the game let me continue with the puzzle when I restarted the stage. So is Hellblade worth the money? Hell yes. Definitely.::wink:: |
I defeated Dragon Age: Inquisition last night. Pretty good game, though pretty sidequest-heavy.
As far as horror games go, it's been a while. I think the last horror game I beat was Until Dawn. |
The first three "Arkham" titles.
I got over my hatred of the off-centre character (which did improve slightly throughout the series anyway) to play through these. I still don't like this particular perspective. Good music. Solid voice acting. Decent scale. Perhaps a bit too Joker-centric? All in all they respected their source material while making a slightly different version of the Gotham I know. Combat was maybe...a little simplistic? I feel like I had the same fight 50,000 times. The last game changed up their enemy types a bit more I suppose. Overall I found Arkham City was the most balanced of the lot. As a series I'd say 7/10. I guess I'd have liked to have seen some kind of grander/grittier boss fights - again, Arkham City brought this more than the others. I mean shit...this last one...you didn't even get the chance to have a real fight with Deathstroke, what a missed opportunity. The hand to hand fights with "boss" characters were sorely missing. Ra's al Ghul was probably about as good as it got. One thing that did piss me off? The riddler shit. Everyone loves a side quest, but come on. Too much with the hidden question marks...I mainly overlooked them until the third game where I decided to have a go, did enough challenges to free catwoman for the storyline, but then the whole "to fight me you'll have to collect all my trophies" bit. I did it for a while and became BORED after about 60 of them. Looked like there was somewhere near 300. There's WAY too many of them...so yeah I had to see the "real" ending on youtube. For me this kind of grinding isn't something you should have to do in order to see the full ending...I mean, it had nothing to do with Riddler so who cares? Anyways, annoyance. Side quests are good. Ones like this wear thin very fast. I have "Arkham Origins" installing on steam now. Not sure what to expect, but yeah...looks a bit different. |

First two games are must-plays though (with a healthy gap in between so the combat still feels fresh). |
Two gems
Alien Isolation and SOMA which I loved!
I always complain about modern horror games being superficial and poorly executed, but these two titles have impressed me! The guys from FRICTIONALGAMES Studio did indeed resurrect the horror games genre. |
“Call of Cthulhu” 5/10
$59 is way too much for such an underwhelming game. $20 would’ve been more fitting. |
Then wait, fucker.
|
The last game I beat was Yakuza Kiwami. I love the Yakuza games a lot. ::cool::

Well, nothing really works about this game. 1. The graphics aren’t very good. 2. The dialogue sounds weird as if the editor was in a hurry. 3. The gameplay is very uneven and can’t decide which kind of game it wants to be. 4. Some of the stages are really annoying and most of them just not very exciting. 5. It’s a mystery game, not really horror. Only thing going for it, is that the story feels like a Lovecraft story. Just not a story I would like to read again. |
Just re-finished the first Bio-Shock.
Anything is going to show it's age by this stage but to be honest it's still somewhat impressive...the water, reflections, the "scenery" both indoor and outdoor. I did the "good guy" finish. Not sure how many endings there were, I remember there being 3 or more? It was an impressive game...though the standard enemies were not all that creative and didn't have a hell of a lot of variation...though the combat was solid and the amount of things you can hack and manipulate make for some interesting and varied ways of playing the game itself. I liked it. I'd give it a 7/10, which is what I thought in the first place. It wowed back in the day - and holds up fairly well this many years later. Plot-wise, well there's that "twist" which while I was expecting, still impressed me in and of itself. |
Man of Medan ps4 8/10
I never found out who the man of Medan was, but the game was damn good. Almost as good as the former Until Dawn. This time the story was inspired by the movie Ghostship. |
I played two PS4 games this month.
The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...Last_of_Us.jpg Fantastic. While I enjoyed the action, especially against human APC's rather than zombies, it was the characters driving the story along that I loved and kept coming back for. Wonderfully written and voiced, I really enjoyed this game. 9/10 Uncharted 4 (PS4) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ox_artwork.jpg I enjoyed the climbing aspects, they managed to keep them engaging and fluid without being frustrating. The game is beautiful to look at. I found the combat to be annoying, especially as I was playing Hard difficulty, with awkward cover mechanics. The APC's had good flanking strategies, but were so overwhelming in numbers at times that it made for some frustrating combat. And the stealth was rather lacklustre. It was the characters, the acting, the dialogue and the story that I loved, which kept me interested and entertained throughout. For that, even though I wasn't a fan of the combat, I give this game high marks. 8.5/10 |
Subnautica 8/10
What lurks in the dark depts of the sea? Quite a lot actually. Glitchy as fuck, but still one of the best games I’ve played this year. Only beaten by Man of Medan and Resident Evil 2. |
Infliction Extended Cut
Scary shit man me and my wife were terrified but it was funny to watch back lol

The quick look I had kind of made it seem a little minecrafty? At least in terms of find and build. Another game you might want to look at, if you like the survival/lost at sea type shit is called "Stranded Deep". On steam, and I'm pretty sure PSN. Looks tenso. There's also a "stuck on an island with zombies" isometric game which is...generic but a bit of a fun time killer, it's called "how 2 survive", they made a sequel I've never seen. If you like island. If you like zombies. It has those things. |

I’m sick and tired of zombies, but I’ll sure have a look at Stranded Deep, thanks. |

I heard Bio-shock has decent FPS combat in 3rd person view, and a really good story. I might give it a shot. |
“the suicide of rachel foster” ps4 6/10
Damn it, I thought it was going to be some kind of sequel to The Shining. It almost had the scenery and atmosphere spot on. Recommended to fans of “everybody's gone to the rapture” and “firewatch”. I’m not. |

I've beat 76 ps4 games on standard difficulty mode (normal is good enough for me), the last one I beat was...
76. Greedfall which is a good sized game.... |

Oh yeah it is dull....for a while....though it has its moments of greatness, and I love how cool looking my character turned out to be, he looked like a total warrior badass, I guess it counts how well you create the character makes the game funner....but it gets more epic towards the end....I grinded through, I HAD to beat this, I put too much time into it. Same with The Witcher 3 soooo long, less dull but sometimes I was very bored, yet loved it simultaneously....it was worth it, when I finished that game, i felt like I accomplished something? Patience is a hard virtue...
Than you got Assassin's Creed Odyssey...sooooo long, such a big map, but that game is very fun, and beautiful to look at...I had to beat that too....I beat all the assassins creed games, and dlc's...... Looking forward to the next one coming up very soon, AC Valhalla! I'm guessing this one is gonna have a gigantic map like odyssey. |
