DVD, actually. I didn't get the VHS of this and kept postponing it till I rented the DVD.

Oh yes! Apart from being touted as Argento's masterpiece, the music by Goblin was already a superhit. I read about it in film mags, saw bits and pieces of it on TV shows, read about it on the Net, etc. A lot of feedback, actually.

3 - How was the viewing experience?

Fantastic. The use of colors by Argento is brilliant, and the harrowing Goblin music! So reminiscent of Indian film music, specially the suspenseful tracks. It did not disappoint me at all. Loved it.

4 - How many times have you rewatched it since?

5-6 times since then.

Bought Goblin's audio CD shortly after my first Suspiria watch. Someday I might get them to sign it for me. A distant dream.

VHS. A fine, grainy print which added to the atmosphere.

Of course! Who hasn't heard of the milestone of our genre?!

Fantastic. It surpassed all my expectations. Right from the opening scenes to the lockout inside the house, the tension build-up, the ultra-creepy child zombie scene, and the shocking finale! That one shot fired in the ending made me jump back in my chair. Poor Ben.

Lost count. I don't know...around 30-odd times, maybe more.

None, except that if this scenario became real someday, you know where it all began.

1 - A VHS tape that my parents had. I remember being fascinated by the cover, and then finally watching it when my cousin was babysitting me.

2 - No, I was too young. I kind of remember my parents telling me it was too scary and violent for me to watch.

3 - I was just so in love with watching anything horror. I watched it with my older cousin, and we both were so into it.

4 - I couldn't even begin to guess.

5 - So many. That first time at my house. Pretty much every Hallowe'en season since I was a kid. Random late night TV broadcasts.

My first viewing was fairly recent. I'm talking maybe a few years ago on TV. It was on one of those classic channels where someone describes the impact of the movie. I only saw bits and pieces of the remake on TV and thought that it was awesome and that I needed to see the whole movie. But I was surprised at how different Barbara is in the original.

None really except for what the commentator said before the movie. I found the remake watching TV late at night. I only vaguely knew of the original before the surprise viewing on TV.

Awesome and surprising. As I mentioned in the first question. Barbara's character was different. I love the music in the original and the remake for that matter. I like how it's not really the zombies that are a problem but the people.

Tons. It's one of the best horror movies.

"They're coming to get you." I love that line. I'm still not sure if I prefer the original or the remake. I do like Barbara's character more in the remake. I need to pickup both of these on Blu-ray. I saw an HD version of the remake and it was beautiful.

A late night horror movie show on cable here in Australia called the graveyard shift, I taped it from tv that night and still have the tape.

great, I was 17, I was only beginning to understand the suttle undertones horror movies had and my girlfriend at the time loved dissecting horror with me.

maybe 20 or so, I watched it a lot at first, but now save it for every couple of years.

It was the first movie I saw that made me want to know how it was made, and I managed to get a copy of the the "Night of the living dead movie book" which explains eveything Romero and co went through prior to making it and how they managed to put it together. better than a behind the scenes featurete, highly recomended if you can get your hands on a copy.

I still rate it as the equal greatest movie ever ever made, along with taxi driver.

I'm not a big fan of werewolf movies. I like the obvious ones, The Wolfman as well as a lot of the older ones, American Werewolf in London, The Howling and not so obvious, Ginger Snaps and i've never really been that excited to watch one but this one was amazing and is now one of my favorite werewolf movies maybe even my favorite.

I watched Dog Soldiers on DVD. But I couldn't watch the widescreen version because my player couldn't read the disc. I'll probably watch it again some day as I like Neil Marshall's movies.

Full screen movies annoy me so that probably took away some of my enjoyment of the movie.
