Yuck...MY movies never win oscars...They hardly ever get ANY recognition at all...And the movies that DO receive accolades, I haven't even heard of most of them

Looks like I'll be skipping that one

You should just do a random one every other night or so

Don't skip it!

I still talk about anything on the show.

Just the main topic is that but I will still talk about other things.

horror movies that have won Oscars:

Silence of the Lambs
The Exorcist
Alien
Aliens
Sleepy Hollow
The Man Who Knew Too Much
Jaws
Bram Stoker's Dracula
American Werewolf in London

This isn't counting ones that were nominated and didn't win, nor does it count ones that are only kinda/sorta horror (except The Man Who Knew Too Much, but that's Hitchcock, baby)

Okay...I should have said "ALMOST never"...I knew someone was gonna call me out on that one :)

Maybe if you would broaden your horizons a little, you'd know more of the movies. Saying "horror has everything, I don't need to watch anything else" is like saying "booze has any flavor, I don't need to drink anything else"

It's exactly like that. Or "I don't need to eat anything but meat. You can get any flavor with meat" or "Metal has everything, I don't need any other music." It's arguable, but in the end it's largely untrue.

Yes, it IS arguable because you can't get chocolate flavor from meat

But...Yeah...I get whatever I want (in movies)...From Horror

I HAVE allowed some people (Seri) to force me to watch some other things, and I'll admit that they weren't all terrible...But, NONE of them were as enjoyable as a good horror movie

The STE 09-25-2007 09:29 PM

But by only watching something that could fall under the umbrella of horror (hey, that'd be a cool movie title. "The Umbrella of HORROR!" It's raining BLOOD!), you're limiting yourself to movies that have certain elements in them. That's not variety, that's just a very broad limitation. There are tons of great movies that have no horror elements in them.

And I've had chocolate and meat. Let us speak of it no further.
