Family Portraits: A Trilogy of America

Three short films by Douglas Buck. I had already seen Cutting Moments, but I watched it again anyway. I don't know why I do these things to myself. Depressing, disgusting, you feel like you need to scrub with a belt sander after watching it. The mood Buck sets in all three films is just amazing. Home & Prologue don't quite have the effect that Cutting Moments does (which is a shame, because it's the first film on the DVD) but they're both good shorts that will still cut you to the core.

These films ARE NOT for everyone. I think they are very well done, and they really hit home on the atmosphere of disintigrated family on several levels. Very good films all three.

An American Haunting. Directed by Courtney "Dungeons and Dragons" Solomon, of course it sucked. And after i saw it and realized who made it, i remembered seeing 2 years ago he was working on it. I hope he dies choking on Uwe bole's cock.
