really liked it - the film didn't really hit its stride until halfway in, but really fun, really gory, really, really dark

Halloween I & II.

Brilliant, as always. Right now I sit wondering that...would Halloween be as successful if they had casted someone else other than Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasance? debatable question...but the script and the direction was so powerful, any other good actor-pair would have carried the movie, IMO.

Now I m debating whether to see III or skip it and go to IV, since Myers isnt in III. But still, to keep the continuity of the series, I m thinking of popping III in.

I watched road to perdition today, it was better than i expected, i generally can't handle Tom Hanks, but he was dead pan enough that i could see him as the character
