Watching House on the Edge of the Park with your woman can't be good for business, dude.

What about that naked breast-slashing for starters?

The glee on Hess' face during this scene is bound to upset most casual viewers.

IDrinkYourBlood 09-01-2005 10:22 AM

just watched Sin City, Lady Snowblood and Wonderland.

"Mr. vampire" 5/10

Silly asian "horror"/comedy/martial art movie.

I think you have to be chinese to laugh at most of the slapstick humor in this movie.

I still don't know
I have to digest it for awhile
I mainly rented it to see the state Christian Bale got into for the role, and I was shocked, what a beautiful creature he is and he did that to himself for art.Part of me gets the why of it,part of me thinks-he will pay for that when he turns 60.

Alright.
Here's what I think.
The scene where he hits that kid is unbearable,I had nightmares last night.
I was confused thru-out the movie but I wasn't going to fast forward like I usually do.
I had to see the end of this movie-but it was like walking thru molasses to get there.

not saying it was bad, but don't expect a happy go lucky jackie with a constant smile on his face.....not like that (ergo not like the other police story films)

like crime story, jackie has actually got to act

Shot in the Dark

Hehehehe. Gotta love Sellers in this one, Clouseau is a classic character:D. The pool scene was a highlight...but so was almost every scene....Hilarious movie:D. Gotta love the ending, too. Or lack there of...

Watched some of Of Unknown Origin, too. Havnt finished it yet, but it seems OK from what Ive seen. Weller definatly carries the film.

Angel Heart

Finally got to see this. Having read the book that it's based on last month, Ive really been looking forward to this. It was great, but not as great as it could have been. The cast was great, Rourke and DeNiro were both perfect in their roles, exactly as I thought of them in the book. The only thing that I really didnt like was how they changed the setting. Having it set entirely in New York, where the book took place, would have worked much better, IMO. Overall though, despite a few things that bothered me that were changed, it was a great movie and alot better than most novel adaptions Ive seen. And if you dont know the ending already, it will blow you away, one of the greatest endings Ive seen in awhile.

Just watched #7 on the list in my sig again. Still a very cool movie.

Today I watched Off-Season, which was fairly poor, and Malevolence, which was fairly good. I wish I had rented Hood of the Living Dead instead of Off-Season. Ah well, there's always next time.

Wedding Crashers

Me and my girl went to see it again at the theatre across the street.(which is really nice)

It's never been anymore true that a film takes you away from reality for awhile and just lets you take your mind off everything and relax.
