Who has the bigger douchebags, this or unfriended?

You hope a film about young adults trapped on a boat threatened by a fresh water maneating fish would be better.

Written and directed by writer/director of Donnie Darko and it shows. The story is so over-the-top weird and crazy it's almost David Lynch at times. A little too weird and crazy for my taste, but it did have a good portion of humor added and I liked the performance of Dwayne Johnson. He was funny as the eccentric main character.

Yeah, Donnie Darko was very Lynch like, and it worked. I liked debating folk on if there was really time travel or it was really the plot of Jacob's Ladder. And also proving to people there were really two engines in the current Darko universe: one that the FAA had in a warehouse, and one that fell on Donnie. That was when Rottentomatoes had a vibrant forum. My thread had literally thousands of views. ::big grin:: Such a shame they vaporized it. What were they thinking?

I have no idea. I never understood it.

Watching this hot off the heels of Dream Warriors did not help either. Laurence Fishburne's Max has the sort of kindness we seem to have forgotten about, especially in the scene with Violet right before she has her fatal nightmare.

Murder Mystery (2019) (netflix)
7/10

Jenifer Aniston and Adam Sandler (Nick & Audrey Spitz) are a fun midlife couple who go on a trip to Europe, but while on the plane they discover the First Class bar where they are propositioned to join a rich British heir to join him on his families' yacht, where they see a murder take place. Nick is trying to become a detective, and Audrey loves reading mysteries, so they are on the case.

It's a very light mystery and comedy. Aniston and Sandler have a fun chemistry, and while it isn't rich is situational humor, they are reasonably funny actors. The highlight is an ending car chase through beautiful Monaco with Shoot the Thrill playing in the background. If you're looking for light comfortable entertainment, this is it.

DEEP IN DAT ASS 2017

A little boy goes missing one night at a Krampus festival. Five years later, he is found and reunited with his family but things never return to normal.

Very good with a sweet twist.

Interesting. But what is the real name of the movie?

My Octopus Teacher 8-9/10

Something good did come out of watching The Oscars 2021. It made me watch a documentary about a man who befriends an octopus. ::love::::embarrassment::::smile::
