I just hope it doesn't disappoint and lives up to it's hype. The trailers look awesome and the film should be great.

Rob Zombie is really gearing up for his film as it is slowly coming together. With its debut on August 31st growing closer every passing day he has began to rally the troops. Here is a comment he just left on his official Halloween blog.

"Attention Michael maniacs the time has come!

Here's what I'm thinking on August 31 everyone should show up at their local theatre dressed as Michael Myers. We can do this! We can make this happen!

Imagine the shocked look on everyone's faces when the lobby is jammed with Michael maniacs! Show the world that Michael is back and ready to destroy!

Who's with me?"

So grab those William Shatner masks and get ready to invade a theater near you. I remember back when I went to see H20 in theater there were people all over the parking lot with masks on. It was really something to see. Lets create that same atmosphere.

Edit: Could a Mod please move this to upcoming, please ? Thanks.

I have my costume ready!:)

gore, it thought me and you weren't old enough? That is...if you really are 13! Because it's an 18 film and i'm only 14, i'll just walk around town dressed as myers.

personally, i thought the trailer looked like the kind of silly-editing nonsense that zombie did in House- which give me very little hope for this remake (or re-fake). i will not go see it on opening day unless the advance word is so amazing i cannot resist it.

The jury is still out for me on this one... I could see Zombie totally losing the atmosphere from the first 2 Halloweens and thereby fucking this film up, but I could also see him putting his own super-gory twist on it without losing the atmosphere and fucking things up, so I guess I'll have to wait and see... Probably not dressed as Michael Myers though.

Ferret, are you able to see it with a parent or guardian? If so, then I say you just be a SUPER good kid around the house over the summer (like help out with chores when no one asks you to and do random nice things for your mom or dad, but ask for nothing in return) and then August 30th, when you've killed them with kindness and shown your maturity all summer, ask real nicely if your mom or dad would take you to see this movie that you have been waiting for. In general terms, (without knowing you or your parents at all) I'd say that'd have a pretty decent shot of working.

I am very curious to see what Zombie does with this film.
I think he will kick it up a notch
