Silent Hill

Amityville Horror (the original).

Pretty decent but I liked the remake better (yep sue me :) ).
James Brolin (motherfucker was intense!) is way more convincing than Ryan Renoylds but I thought the story and effects were handled better in the remake. The original is was a bit to drawn out and overlong for me. But like I said it was decent and I enjoyed it.

The Amanda thing was OK, but chaining the detective to the wall just goes against EVERYTHING that Jigsaw "teaches". There is no weay for him to redeem himself, to learn a life lesson. I thought it was pretty dumb, despite the movie being better overall than #1.

Didn't he give the detective a chance to redeem himself by sitting and talking with/listening to Jigsaw? He only ended up in the chains because he decided not to talk with Jigsaw and save his life. It wasn't about the kid because the kid was set free anyway.

Ultimate Avengers, watched it with my brother.
Still enjoy this one, I like the change of scene - I'm a big "Ultimates" and Ultimate Marvel Universe fan. Good decent introduction to a few MU charactersm with some interesting twists.
Solid storyline, GREAT music, and fucking excellent animation...and IMO the best version of the Hulk ever seen onscreen.
Hope to see the sequel soon.

How dare you?!?!

Haha. Dude, he fucking SUCKED in Saw! That part where he's laying on the floor reaching for the phone and crying about his wife or whatever is some of the worst "acting" I've seen in a studio produced film in years.

I just put in Stay Alive, haven't heard many things about it. Prolly will suck but I am bored.

Lucky Number Slevin

I liked it. Pretty fast paced & violent. Lots of big names & a good storyline. I may be biased because I'm a big Josh Hartnett supporter (He's from my hood) but I thought this was probably his best acting job in a starring role. (I really liked his part in Sin City too, but it was barely more than a cameo.) Bruce Willis, as usual, was excellent too and I was surprised to find that Lucy Liu didn't really annoy me as much as usual. Good acting, directing, violence, story... All in all, a really solid, entertaining film.

A-

It wasn't as terrible as I was expecting a PG-13 horror film starring Malcom (in the Middle) to be. At least it's a fairly original concept... Let me know what you think after you watch it all.
