It wasnt all intentional....but ya, there was alot of stuff that was intentionally funny, like the "torture" of Mikey near the first, had me rolling:D

Geeze...if you havnt seen the movie that makes me sound like a cruel bastard...;)

But seriosly, it's a great scene. Not to be taken serious at all....the guys reactions are great.

John Travolta doesnt make much of a villain though...which kinda disapointed me, I love me a good villain in a movie like this.

I took my little cousin to see Valiant last night, fell asleep after about a half hour but for what it's worth the 5 year old thought it was great.

Kinda pissed me off that I was in a theatre full of kids and it was quiet enough for me to sleep a solid hour when just the other day I was in a theatre with little over 30 "adults" watching a movie I'd patiently waited 6 months to see and was constantly distracted.

Don Bluth's Titan A.E
Always liked this one, the animation style is so cool...the storyline aint half bad, the dialogue is above average for your standard animated fare, and the background art is fucking awesome.
Pretty decent soundtrack too, great sound on dvd.

Running Out Of Time ... pretty good crime thriller from Hong Kong, if you like stuff like Infernal affairs, Fulltime killer, Color of the truth, Cop on a mission etc. you should like this.

The Skeleton Key...again.

Worth seeing twice, alot of the lines are pretty funny once you know the ending. I wouldnt normally have gone to theatrs twice to see it, but my g/f wanted to go. It was really cool, we were literally the only ones in the threatre. It was like a private screening:cool:

The_Return 08-23-2005 05:25 PM

Wasnt as amazing as I was led to believe, but still a great movie, with one of the greatest endings of all time.

"Beautiful boxer"

A thai movie with the amasing tagline:

"He fights like a man so he can become a woman".

Sounds like a joke, but this is actually a good and VERY different martial art movie.

Could have wished for a lot more in the stunt department. But itīs the story thatīs important in this one and itīs fun to think that "Beautiful boxer" is based on a true story.

AUSTIN316426808 08-24-2005 06:01 AM

Pale Rider...again

Four Brothers...again...when I went to see it my gf was out of town and she wanted to see it.

zanetti 08-24-2005 06:57 AM

I remember Demon Seed... with Julie Christie... should watch it again sometimes...

Salem's Lot had a new TVM version recently, I loved the David Soul one.

The remake sucks. Surprise, surprise..

EXTR3MIST 08-24-2005 07:02 AM

The premise for Demon Seed is great, although the execution is a little flawed.

Great scaly baby, which they peel at the end.

2 hours....And he's seen it a hundred times.....I haven't seen a horror movie yet that actually scares him (but when he was 6, Mars Attacks freaked him the hell out...lol...weird, huh?)

He's usually too busy noticing the technical stuff and critiquing the special effects (which he usually informs us of ways that HE could have done it better) to really get scared...

Although...He did say that The Grudge was kinda scary...

EXTR3MIST 08-24-2005 07:48 AM

Sit him in front of Nightmares in a Damaged Brain.

Thatīs why i love that movie so damn much.:)
