just... lacking. don't know if it was the bad dialogue, or lack thereof, or the character underdevelopment, or how they tried to cram as much possible into the movie, but it just left me disappointed. good action though. good effects. nice to see some characters have a little more screen time, but it wasn't enough. ah well...

i was underwhealmed also.

my buddy's take on it was that they got so caught up in the 'mutant as a symbolism for gay' focus that they lost track of what made the series so popular up til now.

the focus on character developement was lost. Most comics - the ones people love - are nothing more than soap operas. People love to watch the characters evolve through interraction.
X-3 wasnt concerned with it (much the same thing happened in the 3rd Harry Potter movie)

technically they are good - lots of action and FX but lacking in heart.

re the 'gay' thing - i think he's dead on ... one guy even 'flew out of the closet'

hahaha... probably !

but it is typical brett ratner, isn't it... get straight to the action and forget all the rest. what gets me is that there's so much to work with, the comic is so rich. but, making quality films isn't exactly what big studios preoccupy themselves with.

hehe... flew out of the closet.. hehe :D

hehe... flew out of the closet.. hehe :D

they for the most part preoccupy themselves with making guaranteed money - by pandering to the young demographic with a microscopic attention span. sad but true ...

Chaos
Poor copy of LHotL. Didn't hate it like I expected to but the director is an idiot. He claims that half of everything he knows comes from the media and I'm surprised he didn't say that everything he knows comes from the media.

Ok, so it didnt live up of the first two films, but you have to admit that X-3 was pretty entertaining. Go read some of the really early X-Men comics, I thought it was alot like those.

Lilya 4-Ever

This movie made me feel like nothing in the world will ever be okay. It's more depressing than Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, my previous record holder for "saddest movie ever." I'd recommend it, but be prepared to feel totally miserable after watching.
