I really liked it.

Kind of a "grass is always greener on the other side" film? ::big grin::

HOUSE OF WAX (2005). Went into this, not expecting much and remembering scathing reviews, but actually not bad at all. Certainly kept my interest and some gritty scenes. One of the better reboots, in my opinion. ***

On Rotten Tomatoes the audience score is 36% for 42,000 ratings. That's pretty bad. It's even worse than the critics 41%, which isn't a bad critics score for a horror film. ::big grin::

I need to see Nightmare on Elm Street 3 again. Actually the whole series. Part 1 and 4 are my favorites. But I know I don't like the ending of Part 3 much. And I can't remember Part 5 or 6 much at all.

A lot of people like Hellraiser 2 because of the story continuation. I find Part 2 a bit too horror fantasy. Here is review I did in a few posts of all the movies in the series when they had them on demand a few years ago.

FRIDAY THE 13th (2009). Will praise the 1980 original from now to the end of time. For the money they didn't have. (think it cost under a million??), it looks polished and truly scary.
Didn't really have high expectations for this, but just amazed at how BAD it was, and for all that money too. No scares, no pacing, characters that were even more annoying than the annoying characters in the sequels, but kind of neat how they threw in little references from past F13 films. Some honeys ,especially Julianna Guill and as a big SUPERNATURAL fan, the wife enjoys drooling over Jared Padalecki, helped out a bit, but even that wasn't worth sitting through this. 1/2

I'm not the biggest fan of the original Friday the 13th. I don't own it. Only Friday the 13th Part 2. As I find that has the best parts of the original. But yeah the remake is terrible. I watched it a few times and even watched the Killer Cut hoping that would make a difference. But no, the remake is a truly horrible movie. The blonde girl is the best thing with that drinking dance. But she's in a bit better movie called Mine Games.

I still hate the twists in the remake. The one girl's death in the tunnel will always make me angry. It's just a pointless movie that just believes Friday the 13th is stupid kids, nudity, and some kills. So many bad things about that movie. Jason protecting a pot farm. Second half not even at a camp for the most part. Town that knows Jason is there. Powered tunnel and taking hostages. That ending. I hate the movie.

Yea,, I liked it alright as well. We need more Rose Red’ish movies. Rose Red was garbage, but i really like the concept.

Oh, by the way. I don’t believe the writers have any kids, because they obviously have no idea how they talk or act.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga 6-7/10

If you’re not a fan of the Eurovision you’ll probably find this musical/comedy quite boring and even awful.

Now, I’m quite a fan, so I enjoyed to see a movie poke fun at the Eurovision, but at the same time being one big love letter to the contest and all it’s about. If you’ve followed the Eurovision for many years there’s a LOT to recognize and laugh at, such as many of the acts, songs and stage shows. But what I enjoyed the most was that they had Will Ferrell look like swedish E-type (best Eurovision song/performance ever). ::cool::
