Romero's Dead franchise
Romero's Dead Franchise.
The Dead series has 3 great movies and a pretty good one, but Dracula has my favourite movie of all time (1931 version), at least 3-4 more great movies, and a bunch of pretty good ones.
The Dead has a legendary director, and a few actors that are only famous in horror circles and only because of the Dead movies. Dracula has a bunch of legendary directors (Browning, Fisher, Coppola, ect.) and some of the greatest actors of all time (Lugosi, Lee, Langella, Cushing, Hopkins, LAURENCE FRIGGING OLIVIER!) The Dead series has damn good writing and a great social commentary...Dracula is loosely based on a real historical figure and the novel is still popular after more than a century! I think the winner here is pretty damn obvious. DRACULA |
Dracula........

This is the hardest one yet for me.
I have to vote for Dracula - Dracula has given me so much pleasure for so many years in both movies and books. I write this whilst watching Dawn of the Dead :) |
Deads............
Less than 12 hours to go till the deadline...
George Romero's Dead franchise leads 13-6 over the Dracula franchise!! Keep em coming, folks...plenty of time still left in this Final yet... |
Romero's movies had a much bigger impact on me than Dracula [vampires are my least favorite creature]
DEAD it is. though I will add that Christopher Lee was brilliant in his portrayal. |
pretty obvious who gets mine...the Deads
The deadline is up...

Sergio Leone
Romero....
The man with no name - my final answer!
I cannot bring myself to vote against John Carpenter, I have to be sure my favorite director gets one vote.
Gotta go with Romero. :)
Romero......................
Escape From New York & L.A.
Tough choice.... The Man With No Name Trilogy.
Sergio Leone/ Clint Eastwood/ Ennio Morricone!
Romero's Dead films for me...
Romero bitch!
Waow what a match in the big final! This is the toughest choice of the tournament.......and my pick is Sergio Leone's brilliant sphagetti westerns.
....& the EMPEROR of all movie franchises/series is
The Man With No Name Trilogy
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...PL._SS500_.jpg |
Very tough decision.......as much as I LOVE the Deads, I have to give it to Clint Eastwood's groundbreaking westerns. Night, Dawn and Day will always be awesome in my book, but Eastwood's trilogy was such a trendsetter for moviemaking AND moviewatching. Oft repeated, never bettered, ever.
I'd watch any of the The DEAD movies over any of the others at any time.
